I plan on starting the diet in a day or two and would like to go for my allowed food shopping. Instead of going from one supermarket to another hunting, I though I'll start this thread where we can discuss the supermarkets that are stocking the allowed list food that would help anyone starting the diet.So all the experienced "Dukaners" please share your knowledge and your favorite brands of yogurt, cheese and which supermarket we can find it in. To start with where can we get Oatbran, Low fat turkey and chicken?

In order to lose weight, it is necessary not only to limit the production of cortisol. You must look at the number of absorbed fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. The main thing is that all these components must contain a certain number of kilo calories. Dr. Goldberg from the clinic https://easyweightloss123.com/ suggested combining several ways to lose weight. Injections and proper nutrition. My nutrition need contains more protein foods than fat. On the day, my kilo-calorie norm should be 1500 kC or 1700 kC.

Losing weight is hard to do if we're stressed. I've tried so many diets and exercises, but all of them are not effective to lose some pounds. You can minimize your body's production of cortisol by simply by learning to relax. And if you need a little help doing this, medical marijuana could become your new best friend. Especially if it can shrink your waistline in the process. Nowadays, there are several products of cannabis created, not only for smoking. Like this one www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/whitaker-blues/. So far, it really helps me to relax and I can see that there's a changes in my weight. If you have any questions or opinions please let me know. Thanks!

Mishmash, where did you get your little bottles of flavourings from? And have you seen low fat Cocoa anywhere (whoever knew you could get such stuff!) TIA I got them from Lulu..tiny bottles of mango, vanilla and strawberry essence. The brand is "Fosters", and If I am not mistaken they were in the jello aisle. Nope never seen low fat cocoa, but do let me know if you find it anywhere. edited by mishmash on 06/07/2011

Today I found fat free cool-whip in the frozen section at Lulu's (close to MOE). it is a bit synthetic tasting on it's own but when you mix a couple of spoonfuls into a pot of fat free natural yoghurt it is divine! Like eating creamy custard. hahaha plum2 we might bump into each other at the fat free sections of Lulu someday. The other day I was there and bought nonfat kraft american cheese slices. Again, not that great but hey atleast it somewhat tasted like cheese, cant expect much from fatfree cheese now, can we ;)

The Total 0% fat Greek yoghurt is 14.50 a tub (single serve) in my local Spinneys. Today I bought a local made Nadec 0% fat natural yoghurt from Lulu's - delicious and, at only 1 dh for the 170g pot, a bargain! Edited to add: I've been mixing a little stewed rhubarb into the natural yoghurt for variety and it's really nice. You could add sweetener if you needed to but I find it fine without. edited by plum2 on 04/07/2011 edited by plum2 on 04/07/2011 edited by plum2 on 04/07/2011 I have bought the 99.9% marmum skimmed yogurt from choithram sometimes. But wow if nadec has a 0% one, I'll be getting that! Now I have small collection of tiny flavouring bottles, to add to my yogurt with splenda. Its such a yummy dessert. especially after dinner.

I found some rhubarb in Spinneys at Town Centre. I stewed it just with water. I had some mixed with fat free fromage frais last night and some with my oat bran porridge this morning - delicious! No sweetener needed at all. It made a very nice change. edited by plum2 on 27/06/2011

A new recipe to try on PP days during the cruise fase. Got so fed up with chicken and turkey and the occasional steak. I made these meatballs and they taste great. I made small ones as I find that while being on this diet I eat smaller portions more often during the day. 500 gr of lean mince 1 small onion 2 garlic cloves 2 tbsp chopped parsley 3 sundried tomatoes (I know these aren't strictly allowed but they add real depth of flavour and I pat they dry to remove the oil) 2 tbsp oat bran salt/pepper Just mix everything together and roll into little balls. Fry off in a non-stick pan. The oat bran makes them quite firm and you don't need to add an egg to bind it.

I found dried Goji Berries in the organic cafe. Rather pricey at 217 dhs a kilo! I bought a few and soaked them overnight to add to my porridge. Quite nice but not a huge amount of flavour. I wouldn't bother. I also soaked the oat bran overnight and it made heaps more porridge.

DON't try the "cheese cake" recipe! It's more like a sweet and lemon flavored omlette...yuk! ewww...that picture is so deceptive! Was really looking forward to making that but not anymore! I had chicken breast with fromage and mustard sauce for dinner last night with oat bran pancake. Is it me only or to others these taste quite the same? Fromage frais = Non Fat Sour Cream = Non fat Yogurt

Fifth day of Cruise and this diet is not as easy as I thought! I know it will work for sure but I am finding it soooo difficult now. The only thought that keeps me going is that one day it'll be over and I would have lost the extra pounds and will be able to eat normally and feel fit. Protein days are the most difficult..I am living on eggs and turkey slices and actually don't even feel hungry anymore. I really admire all of you who've managed to stay on it for so long. Hoping tomorrow is a better day!

No not seen them plum, but I haven't been looking for them. Are they allowed on our dukan diet? Yes, they are allowed from cruise. You can mix them into your oat bran porridge, or your natural yoghurt. I thought it sounded nice. I'll post if I find any.

Probably not a genius tip and maybe some of you are already doing this. This is what I do to get some fat free thighs along with fat free chicken stock which I use to make soups or stir frys. In a pan I put some cinnamon sticks, peppercorns and few garlic cloves and toss them around. Then I add around 1 kg of chicken thighs let them brown a bit in their own fat. After that add 2 litres of water...let it cook until done. Remove the thighs and store it in a container in the fridge to have with dressings or can be shredded in chicken or vegetable soups. The stock I keep in the fridge...and this is the best part for me :) (If in rush you can pop it in the freezer for 2 hrs, but it should not freeze) You will see a thick white layer of yucky fat that floats on the top, just scoop it out with a strainer and throw. Now you have a nice flavoured fat free chicken stock. This can be used as a base for other soups or , I've even had it as cup soup with a dash of tobasco as a snack. edited by mishmash on 23/06/2011

I have to agree the pp days are beginning to get to me too. I really just have sliced turkey a nd sone yoghurt in the morning, a boiled egg for lunch, more sliced turkey in the afternoon. Then will do either prawns, chicken or steak for dinner and sweet galette for dessert. BUT every time I do a pp day I just say yo myself it's just until I reach my goal weight and I am sooooo looking forward to some cheese and bread!

With regards to the Nando's even if you take off the skin be careful of the amount of salt and extra fat. It's just as easy to do your own and then you'll be certain there is no extra salt of fat. I'm finding the sauce thing quite tricky as the sauces listed in the book are not really to my taste. I did make a lovely gremolata which goes well with all meats and fish. (Chop up mint, parsley, basil and garlic. Add a smidgen of salt and a teaspoon of olive oil). Have to say it's becoming a bit boring on P days. Chicken, prawns, steak, fish. But always roughly prepared in the same way. Need to think of some healthy alternatives without too much sauce or any veg. PV days are sooo much easier. Love having soup with tons of veg or a great big salad. Maybe I should go the Asian route and steam fish with soy sauce, garlic and chilli. However isn't soy very salty? Any interesting recipes for P days would be great!! edited by muurtje on 22/06/2011

Another tip! Nandos chicken! yummy Btw are we allowed to have sweet chilli sauce on attack phase? (I think I know the answer, but keep hoping its ok, lol) Nandos Really? I would think that the chicken was marinated or basted with some carb sauce. But if not then it would be a great addition :) I believe that as Plum said it has to be the plain chicken.
