one is in karama..same lane as bombay chopatti n other one in international city.....say in half packet...half lemon,,,half tsp coffee...n use tea water as required to make the paste
Thanks!
I have been using Sudani henna for the last year and it gives a beautiful colour to my hair. The instructions are on the pack and the best part is that it needs to be heated before applying which prevents me from getting a cold as I always did when I used Indian henna. I live in Doha and these henna packets are available in Lulu etc; small white colour pack with blue writing on it. On the back, there are instructions in Arabic and English. As with anything new, do test for allergy before using on your hair.
Oh and good to know about Lush henna; may give that a try soon

I'm sitting here with the Lush henna on my head right now. It's my second time using it and my third time using henna. I have super dry, frizzy, curly hair and it makes my hair so soft! I don't want to use conventional hair dyes that contain ammonia, PPD, etc on my head. The Lush henna has cocoa butter which helps with the soft feeling but I've heard henna alone is good for hair as well.
Check out www.hennaforhair.com. That's where I've read about everything henna.
I've also heard that henna is a great conditioner as well as colour for the hair. I also bought some in the Body Shop for my dd. Her hair is quite dark and so there was not much affect on the colour but her hair was in great condition afterwards.

i do it at home myself...go to a pskistani store and buy henna from there...there are indian brands aswell but they have chemicals..if u want darker color add ccoffee,,tea water to the paste,,add little lemo for shine,,, and leave it overnight for darker shade ...apply next day for 3-4 hours and then wash it off(verryyy throughly with water first )and shampoo in the end when u r sure no more residue is left...thats it ur done...
do it one ortwo days before u want to goto a party....if some color appear on ur skin wit will fade away
use plastic gloves to apply to avoid coloring ur hand
Where are the pakistani stores that sells henna?
How much coffee, tea water and lemon should be added to the henna?
TIA.
Just to add to this post - I have seen henna blocks in Lush in dubai mall - they are meant to be organic or something of the sort and have different shades.
I dont have any experience with it so not sure if its drying or not but I have also been told by many hairdressers that its better to use hair dye than henna as henna coats the hair and makes it dry - also if you want to then switch to normal dye, you may not be able to until the henna grows out. However, traditionally the women in the east have been using it for so many years and swear by it.
Good Luck

Thanks for that info, but I am not do-it-myself type of person (something always goes wrong :D), that's why looking for salon
I think it depends on the type of henna you use and your hair type, particularly how porous it is. I used the dark red henna from the body shop, which wasn't orange in the slightest. Don't think they stock it anymore though.

I used henna regularly for years and it always gave me very glossy locks, with people commenting on how healthy my hair was particularly after just colouring it. I never had the dry and frizzy hair like those using chemical dyes.
It was difficult to stop using though, as if you dye over it, it will give you a different colour. I had to grow the colour out in the end.
i was told by a colourist in the UK that henna is one of the worst colourants to use on your hair.
Oh, really? Did she say why? I am currently bf my LO and don't want to use chemicals to color my hair, so thought henna would be safe for me
He said that it was to do with the way it coloured the hair. Most chemicals coat the hair strands and colour that way but henna actually penetrates it and colours it from the outside - and thus causes more long term damage.
Well this is what he said.

Any salon that does henna hair coloring, but not only in one color that makes hair red, but can color in lighter, darker shades depending on the preference?
