Lime Tree Cafe for me. Always in there around 5.55pm on the way home from work grabbing what's left to take away for that nights dinner (& a sneaky cake of course) It's still lovely even though it's been sat in the glass window all day :)

Definitive Central Perk in Jumeirah 3 (between Jumeirah Road and Spinneys) and Shakespeare & Co in Al Wasl Road, next to Choitrams. Food and service is good, but the most important thing is - the interior and atmosphere. Ooh, good to know, I spotted Central Perk for the first time last week (whilst getting lost on my way home from somewhereorother) and wondered what it was like :) Will try and find it again sometime. My own particular fave is Shakespeare's at the Town Centre, particularly in winter when you can sit outside and inhale the scent of the apple shisha :D

My latest find and my favorite-Capre Diem (Town Centre, Jumeirah), cozy sofas, coffee served in a cute vintage cups and great freshly made waffles and crepes. Weird location though. It`s privately owned by Belgian family, i like that, chains are so uninspiring. Lime Tree for coffee and small baked treats and an occasional salad.

Been to Shakespeares in Dubai mall a couple of times and the food was dreadful! Is Jumeirah better?

I like Fauchon in Dubai Mall. Really yummy! Social House (DM also) is a hit or a miss but good desserts generally.

I know there is mixed reviews, but I love Jones the Grocer coffee. Food is great, I've had no problem with service, but others I know have. Went for lunch today and was served quickly, when I go for breakfast I go right on 8am and have never had a problem. I believe nothing is perfect in Dubai and consistency is a problem anywhere.

I can second Dean and Deluca, lovely food, bit different and a fab view if you sit outside. Lovely place to take visitors ... especially if they're paying!

We went to Dean and Deluca cafe in Souq Al Baha on Saturday and were really impressed with really tasty, fresh food, attentive service and a lovely view of the fountain display. Also with the temperature dropping a little u can sit out by the water!
