I am using the Metro Gold Class frequently to go to work, what makes me angry is, bad behaving metro users. Hearing loud music, talking constantly on their phone loudly, people sitting in gold class without gold ticket.....and the staff ...They are not allowed to say anything. One Metro Staff told they never can say a word, only local Metro Controll person can. I don't understand that.

It is not right or is it??? I think also every staff should have a card reader to check if everybody has a correct ticket... When a Metro User has its music very loud, the staff should have the right to ask to turn off or turn down the music...

staff absolutely CAN and do say things - last week when i was on the metro they came and told someone to stop chewing gum, someone else to stop eating, and asked a few people for their tickets!

Jeez.. I took the Paris metro rto school and then work for 10 years. Smells of pee, smelly armpits, people misbehaving, jam packed and NO GOLD Class. I don't see the point of your complaint? Try the London underground too.. Squashed in and lucky if you can even get on at peak times.. Jeez people talking whatever next?. Perhaps they should fine people for that lol

I've been a Metro user for a couple of months before i got my car and i used to go Gold class everyday but eventually, I learned about the timings of the crowd at Metro so i had a silver and a gold. When i know there will most likely be seats anyway in the non-Gold area, i use the silver. Back on the thread topic, I don't think they are not allowed to say something. It probably depends on the staff. I heard one staff ask soimeone in Gold class to move to Silver since she doesnt have a ticket. The lady argued!! How weird is that for someone to argue when they don't have a ticket?? The lady was trying to bully to Filipino staff and I was rooting for the staff to report the lady. And he did.. and seconds later, one of the metro managers stepped in the train and talked to her in Arabic and then she left. On another note, there was also a lady customer eating in Gold class and the staff asked them not to. They said they'll just finish their food and yes they did finish it jusst before they step out of the metro! I hope no one gets offended but I would say in alll the countries i've been to, i've never seen this much ill-mannered people. Like, really? arguing with the staff to stay in the Gold class when you do not have a ticket???

I used to use the Gold Class section for a while and the main problem was getting a seat - don't know why they configured the seats as they did or only had one carriage. In the end, I bought a silver card, as I figured that if I was going to stand anyway, I might as well pay half the cost of the gold section! You are right that sometimes the staff just stand there and don't check the cards in Gold Class...and there are the usual array of people speaking constantly on their mobile phones, so that you can hear the whole conversation from the other end of the carriage....sadly it's the norm when using any form of public transport....I suppose the staff can't tell them off for talking (however loudly they do it!)...drives me mad too....In general I think that staff are scared to say anything to anybody, whether it be on public transport, the cinema, the malls (when the girls are roaming around in skimpy clothes), etc, etc...sad that they don't have any power to do anything!

Maybe thats another perk a gold class ticket buys.....the right to do what you want! Unfortunately thats not so uncommon, some people have complete disregards for others, as long as they are happy. You should make an official complaint as it seems strange that the Metro staff are not allowed to say anything, why are they there then?
