Tiger Woods spitting on the twelfth green in the final round of the Desert Classic today. Disgusting, gobby, disrespectful. He even tried to rub it into the ground with his putter. Why they paid this low life to appear here and why anyone follows him is beyond me. This and the tragic Amy in the same weekend, don't know what the place is coming to..

There's a big difference between into a cup and on the green - both are nasty but one flouts the rules!

I find it very funny the spotlight is on Tiger.. how about Sergio spitting in the cup after retrieving his ball right before it was time for Tiger to put?? They were both acting like children.

The game is such a yawn the highlight is the spitting.....maybe they should add back flips and grass slides it may loosen them up.

Funny how in soccer and cricket, nobody can stay without spitting for more than 2 minutes. And that seems to be ok. Atleast in golf, they dont roll all over the ground ;)

Tiger has been fined by the European Tour for spitting! He also cursed audibly twice, I heard it the second time, he is truly up his own derriere! That latter part will be change then eh?

This reminds me; on Thursday whilst waiting in the elementary school playground with DS, an old man (grandfather I think) spat in the playground. I wanted to slap the filthy swine.

Joking apart he didn't even have the grace to sign a few autographs for some kids. I could forgive his marital infidelities but spitting on the hallowed turf of EGC, no way.. DD and other students from her school have been helping out with the scoring at tournament - all voluntary. Some of the students were walking scorers and accompanied the golfers around the course keeping them up to date on scores. Some of the golfers were very nice and gave the students their caps & gloves as souvenirs and were happy to sign autographs etc. One student approached Tiger Woods for an autograph and he refused and told the boy to get away from him. Very disappointing behaviour for a sportsman and considering the fee he was paid to attend.

When you think of all the hard work and dedication put in by the ground staff at the club getting the conditions perfect then he goes and creates a mini water hazard on the green, what if someone elses ball had landed there for example? That's actually a really good point. I'd imagine it'd be slightly sticky, so it might prevent another player's ball from moving as far forward as it might have otherwise done had the gob not been there. I shall ask a R&A referee friend of mine for his expert opinion.

Actually I've got my Usher tickets already he he... but honestly I feel really strongly about this and I'm thinking of complaining to the PGA or someone, or even writing to 7 days.
