Any ideas where to get stuff for a child's pirate party? I'm struggling to find decor/ plates/ cups/ hats/ favours etc

Also if you creative ladies out there have ideas for pirate themed party food, please share :)

...and an easy-ish cake - I'm thinking a treasure chest or a ship (maybe too ambitious but I'm keen to try)
Thank you!

There's a party shop across from the Lulu near the MOE that has an excellent selection. Wasn't looking for pirate when I was there, but they very well may have it.

Belated thanks for the recommendation - I found what I need at Creative Minds on Umm Suqeim Road - what an awesome shop!

I saw Pirate theme party plates/decorations today in the Teacher supplies and party shop on Umm Suqueim Road. Lots of creative activities as well.

I was also looking a few weeks back.. Most party shops have a pirate section with various bits and pieces. Altho you might need to try a few for all you want. One on Um Suqueim has bits as does one at Beach centre (blue mall past Mercato). Tavola by Spinneys Mercato has a cake mould with full instructions on making a ship cake.. Looks good but tricky. Bloomies didn't have any cup cake cases a few weeks ago when I looked..

Am sure i have seen party supplies in Toys r us in festival city. Also, the party shop in 'town centre' mall (next door to Mercato on the beach road). They have loads of party stuff including different pinatas! Hve you tried spinneys or park and shop for cakes? They are lovely cakes with a picture added on. Am sure they will have a pirate of some kind. You could get the kids to ice digestives with yellow icing and sparkly bits and make treasure! Face paints are always a hit too. Make eye patches? They woudnt be hard either. Depends on ages of kids at the party. good luck!

Haven't looked but would have thought one of the craft or party shops like the ones at Motor City or on Umm Suquim Road would have bits and pieces. I love the banana idea on here http://pinterest.com/cpswick/pirate-birthday-party/ they look fab, and the desert houmus island.. I think I have seen cupcake cases and picks with pirates on in Bloomingdales and also Lakeland/Tavola.. Have a fab party.
