I heard Coventry Tailor is good and I would like to have a trouser done.
Can you try to explain where they are located in Satwa if I come from al Wasl road and take right at the iranian hospital ?

TIA

Sunrise is good. Very polite, understands very well and his prices are good. 75aed for plain short shift dress and 90 for plain full length.

mh, I asked for a very simple trouser and skirt to try him out and some alteration. Yep he had a very dry humour which is fine if i would have known him before but it couldvput people off and yes if price and tailoring is not as I expect then I gave him the first and last time business. The person in the other Coventry was very pleasant. I have a good tailor in Meena Bazar but I am too lazy to go there and felt his quality was after nine years not anymore as good as before and prices went high up too. price is fine if I get good quality for it. Can someone suggest an other tailor in Satwas who is good and has a better attitude.

Ishwar (means God in hindi) is good and he knows it....He also has a dry/weird humour and that is why he comes of as he does. Add the fact that his English is not as good as he makes it out to be so,,, this is his way of covering it up. He is not a bad guy but yes, he is getting to be incredibly expensive. The other coventry belongs to his son who he trained (tho they dont speak anymore)

I went to Coventry reading good reviews but found the prices to be so expensive. A simple summer dress one at 180 the other 300. I went to another one in my friends neighborhood and I paid 50 dirhams. Mind you this was in a sha3bee neighborhood.

I managed to go yesterday to Coventry, was first in the wrong coventry but then got to the right one. Wow after going to my tailor in Mina Bazar for 9 years it was a different and not good feeling with Ishwaq ( sp?). i felt that everything was too much and what ever I asked couldn't be done and that he was so not interested to help me or get me as a customer. as it was my first time I asked to get a normal trouser and skirt done and some alteration on other things. Hope he is a very good tailor as otherwise not sure if I will do this again to me. asking his opening timings and telno he asked me if I could read as it was standing there on his desk, mhhh could have been formulated in a different way. Asking for a price he told me I will come to know when I pick it up. Asking when i can pick it up telling me to try after 7th June. I think in a normal shop I would have started to shout at the salesperson... Thats me, and have been in a good mood yesterday.

Thank you. Are they really good? What shall I expect as price to get a normal trouser made?

Hi, Once you get to Satwa you will have to take a right (one way) keeping to the left keep driving as if you are going around a massive round about. (or just go straight down coming from Ridges hotel. Coventry is in an alleyway (between two buildings). The shop on right (when facing the alley) is called Suroor (Cloth shop). This is diagonally across from the government clinic which is on the left of the road. Just before the traffic light. Hope this helps :o)
