JS, thanks for your galette recipe! I tried it today and it was great. Day 3 on attack phase for me today and have lost 2,1kg so Im really pleased.
When I calculated my true weight on the dukan site, it was recommended that I do attack phase for 3 days so tomorrow I'm looking forward to my veggies....and weightloss!
I wasn't thinking about toast until now!!! I miss my chilled white wine and for some odd reason I am craving coffee.....I don't drink coffee! Day 4 and 5lbs down. Day 3 was tough as I just felt like eating all day.....today my hunger has definitely subsided and am not thinking about food as much (apart from wine and coffee!).
Am sick of steamed chicken......I have made some of the book's marinade recipes for beef and they are delish (and simple to prepare).
Has anyone done more than 5 days on 'Attack'?
Thanks JS. Yesterdays galette went a lot better already. One friend told me to leave it for a while and that seemed to help. Will look out for sugar free syrup next time I head out to the shops.
So far it's going ok. I'm determined to make a proper go of this diet but can't help thinking about toast :( all the time!!
The scales this morning made me smile - 1.5 kg after two days! Might even hang on and do 10 days of attack fase instead of 7. Am hoping to loose between 30 and 40 kg so am in this for the long haul..
Hello muurtje, this how I prepare my yummy galette (the sweet one not the salty):
Mix One full egg (dont take the white egg alone as the book says), so beat the full egg in a bowl until it is little foamy (this should take 2 minutes).
In separate bowl (and it should be a separate bowl), add 2 tablespoon of oat bran, one candarel sachet and 2 tabespoon of the Greek o% fat yoghurt, mix them together. Once they mixed well, add them to the bowl of egg, mix them very well together until they look like a thick juice.
Pour the mixture now into a nonstick pan over medium heat. Better to use a medium size pan and not the small pan in order to have some space to flip the pancake, keep it on the pan for around 5 minutes and keep watching it, when you see that the upper side is starting to dry, you will have to flip it the otherway around so both sides are golden color. Sometimes I overcook it a little so it is little crunchy :)
Put it on the plate and top it with little sugarfree syrup... yummy yummy... I hope I explained it well..

Thanks JS. I just bought some candarel as I remember that from back home. Don't need much, just one a day for my coffee.
Just one more question. I just made the galette and although I love the taste, it didn't really turn out as it should. It was more scrambled then anything else. Any tips? Or is it just a matter of practice?
muurtje, try splenda.
I also tried tropicana slim and it was awful, I couldnt drink the coffee. Use half of Splenda's envelope for each cup of coffee (not the full envelope or it is gonna be too sweet).
Started this morning. So far have a had some 0% yogurt for breakfast with a slice of smoked salmon and 1 chicken breast for lunch. 1.5 l of water. Not feeling too bad. Had a coffee this morning with some tropicana slim sweetener... it was horrible! Ended up throwing is away. Very nasty bitter aftertaste. Will have to try some other sweeteners.
Loved the fat free frozen yogurt from marble slab. They told me it had sugar in it so I looked up the nutrition information, don't think it's allowed in the attack phase. Here's the information, can anyone confirm? It's just too good to give up.
Serving size: 1 cup

Some little things that made life easier on the attack phase for me were; non-fat frozen Yoghurt chocolate flavour from Marble Slab, Packets of Smoked Salmon for Lunch and ready roasted Chicken for evening meal with some onion gravy. Recently I have also started heating skimmed milk and adding Fat free hot chocolate powder which honestly tastes no different to the normal stuff. This diet really is easy once you get used to it. I have lost 4.5 Kg since the 9th May just another 4 to go till true weight

I did this a couple of weeks ago.
I found poached egg on two slices of low fat ham (instead of toast) was a quick and easy meal.
Steak or grilled chicken breast served with a dip made from a tsp mustard added to 2 dessert spoon fat free fromage frais.
Oat bran in lulu's in an orange coloured tall tin, with the porridge oats, far bottom left at the end of the aisle. I have mine with daily milk tsp cinnamon and tsp fake sugar as porridge. You can also add to veg smoothy on pv days in cruise phase.
Hope this helps.
I lost 6kg during May.

Hi Ladies, I am also on day 2. I have tried this diet before and lost 1kg, but never went further than the attack phase though which lasts for 3days for me ;)
I am determined this time! If I complete the diet plan I should achieve my goal by 23rd July..:\:
My husband was also very supportive yesterday and decided he's starting the diet with me from today, even though he's very fit...and guess what he's having for lunch today??? Lasagna and ice cream!!! grrrrrrrr
Good luck everyone
I found the oat bran at lulu's.
I thought we weren't allowed more than 7 eggs per week, if no cholesterol probs?
I have followed the diet to a T and not lost ANYTHING. I am so disappointed.... And I suffered a major headache for which I had to go to the doctor. I do t know if it's related but these 2 factors have made me question if this is the right diet for me.
Pls let me know how you all get on with your diet, I have not eaten anything today yet and still undecided if I should continue.
I'm starting on Sunday. Have a special party of Friday and might need one day to nurse a hangover
Do find the idea a bit daunting and will need to follow it for a long time as I have a lot to loose. Gemm3210 thanks for the link. It's a bit more exciting then the Dukan meal plan and there aren't a lot of boiled eggs featured (which I can't stand).
Good luck to all the ladies that have already started!
i Gemm3210 - I am on day two! this is my first diet ever and i am totaly clueless to all the dieting jargon.
So far my eats of the day consist of bioled eggs. boiled chicken, slices of turkey and smoked salmon! i have not taken any yoghurt with this yet, but got some natural less than 5% youghurt and i am going to roast a chicken tonight and mix some yoghurt with either lemons or limes and pour ontop of my pittiful chicken breast! My hubby 2b was so supportive last night - whilst eating a full bowl of Hagandaaz ice cream! little Sh!@#
What i CANNOT find is oatbran! and i really need some fibre already!
Can anyone advise on where they bought it?
Hi Gemm 3210, Natural yougurt is plain yougurt.
You can also find the Fromage frais at Carrefour.
Everything that's allowed during this phase you can eat as much as you want of it!
I hate this phase, i always feel hungry and miserable, and sick of eating the same stuff, I have started the Dukan diet twice and never went further than this phase.
I am planning to give it a go again this week.
have a look at this link they do have receipes for each phase
You can find the 0% fat fromage frais in carrefour [although we haven't had any here in AD for 2 weeks'>. I much prefer it to the yoghurt. I cook my meat in the George Foreman grill.
I've just found this meal plan with recipes for the attack phase, if anyone is thinking of starting. It looks good!
http://www.mydukandiet.com/dieting/example-menu-for-the-dukan-diet-attack-phase.html
thanks SueB! I read your other posts about the Dukan diet and they were very helpfull too!
I've got 0% greek yoghurt and had a little bit of that earlier. I'm just not sure if that is allowed freely or in small portions - I can't work out if that is what he refers to as "natural yoghurt". I haven't been able to find fomage frais and did try Lulu's for quark but none there today.
Can I ask how you prepared your steak? I bought a really lean cut and it was only just edible!
Water I'm really good with anyway, had my 1.5l by lunchtime!
I find it is the easiest to follow the plan laid down by Dukan for the 1st week :). Your Litre and 1/2 water is essential :)...dont see any yogurt or cottage or creme fraise in there ? You must eat enough food and right now your 0% fat yogurt will be a lifesaver :)...eat what he prescribes :). It took me awhile for the pancake as I was making it per his book directions and got very frustrated so now...I think of it as an omlete and not a galette lol....I do not whip the egg whites. I do it with 2 eggs or egg beaters, 1.5 tbls oat bran, some oregano, maybe toss in some onion, possibly hot sauce, 3 oz of tuna packed in water, or chicken, or fish, what you have on hand, pour in frypan and gently cook as you would an omlete, then flip to the other side and cook...done :)....
I did keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge as well as Greek Yogurt mixed with low fat.
I'm on day one. Just wondering what you're eating and how you're preparing it?
So far I've had 2 boiled eggs, a couple of slices of turkey and a beef steak. I'll attempt the oat bran pancake when the kids are in bed.
