NO one is jumping at you. You said you wouldnt pay a ridiculous amont of money for a battery and will leave the watch dead. Its a Cartier only Cartier can do it, i wouldnt pay all that money for a watch and let a shop like choice or rivoli go anywhere near it.

I need to have my Cartier serviced too but I am not ready to spend 1800 dhs for new battery. It's insane! Is there some special 10 years service package? I think Rivoli would be authorised as well and most probably would be cheaper. I have just spent there 800 dhs to have my Omega serviced and battery replaced. Not sure though if they accept other brands for service than those they are exclusive agent for..

Wow! Some of you just love to take every opportunity to jump at people! It was a joke for crying out loud! I had a 10 year service package with them in Vancouver that just finished. I thought some watch service centres like hour choice or rivoli would be authorised as well! I wasn't planning on taking it to minutes!

If you can spend all that money on a cartier watch surely you relised it's not going to cost 70 dhs from a stall In the mall to get a new battery. I agree.......what a waste to have it sitting around 'dead' for years just because you don't want to spend the money to have it serviced properly. How old is your daughter? If its another 20 plus years until she gets married, then it could cost you twice the price to have it done then.

After the service it will come back looking like new:-) They cost so much to start with that they are worth looking after and it will be nice to hand a working watch on to your dd

It's actually the service that costs... I had a quote for a 5 year service in London and it was £400 - but only £50 or so for the battery

OMG ! Sounds like it would be cheaper to fly to Bond Street, London Cartier and wait while it's done on the spot !

That watch shall remain dead until I pass it onto my daughter on her wedding day!! Only then shall I pay such a ridiculous amount for a watch battery.

cartier only as your watch needs to be sealed properly.
