I want to join Fitness First Platinum in Media City but I want to know the best way to get a good price. What is the lowest price I might be able to pay, I know there are joining fees, last month fees and a monthly fee of 499 Dhs. Has anyone joined and got a good deal there on memberships?

I joined at Media City before it opened so I'm a platinum member too. I've moved and have never used Media City since and never used Mirdiff so I will definitely look into paying less per month. Hopefully we'll get some recognition of the fact we've been 'loyal members' for over three years.

for media city and mirdiff membership is platinum with 499 per month. then in others there are two categories one for all time which i pay about 389 or 399 and other for women which is of lower price and has access to club only till 3 pm. you can try and bargain with the representatives as when we renewed our membership we were given 2 months free plus 14 days guest passes. edited by manubhadauria on 11/07/2011

I have been a member at FF in Media City for the apst 2 years & pay almost AED500 per month so am wondering ho come they are now charging AED360. They say FF in Media City is the Platinum Club & hence the most expensive. I use it as its close to where I live. You are right. I just read my contract and it says "a member may not use a FF club having a status higher than the one they have taken." So I can not use a 'platinum' club unless I upgrade my membership and pay the approproate monthly fee.

If you are paying 360 dirhams/month are you restricted to using one particular club? or can you use all the clubs? I was able to use any fitness centre but preferred the one in Oasis Centre and all the classes were free and 3 personal trainers sessions.

I saw an ad on MCC fitness first where says membership cost as low as 12 AED per day, this means 360 AED per month, obviously there must be some fine printing. You could ask about this when you go. Yes that's what my monthly cost came out to be, although mine was a yearly membership + one month free.

They kept charging DH`s credit card for 2 months even after his membership was expired and he had no access to the club. Calling them didn`t make any difference and eventually he had to go there in person. After some shouting, calling them scammers etc..(DH was really p*ssed off) they stopped charging his card. This reminded me when i was opening my membership at FF for the first time, the sales person was insisting on me paying by credit card, and was clearly disappointed when i refused to. Now i know why!
