I've taken the pink taxi only once but I was totally impressed with the driver. She helped rearrange the (heavy) bags in the back, buckled in one of the car seats AND my son, and was in the driver seat ready to go as I was still struggling with my one task of getting my other kid n the car. She was confident in her driving and pointed out different parts of the city. She was far superior to any of the crazy male taxi drivers I've had in Dubai!
i've had a pink taxi from dubai airport and was terrified by her driving! like being on a rollercoaster!
however the ladies at sharjah airport have always been amazing...
Probably the same driver i see most days on SZR in the fast lane with her mobile clamped to her ear
Take her car number and report!
Bit difficult when i am driving too
lol well memorize it for later ;)

So we expect women to do heavy lifting? I can understand asking them to help, but you can't expect them to lift it for you. I wouldn't. If I struggle with my case I can't expect someone else to struggle with it also.
I'm not expecting anyone to do my heavy lifting for me but In my experience, almost all of the male taxi drivers rush to help with bags - whether they are looking for a tip or whether its just a man thing - but it is appreciated.......as I said, the women drivers just tend to ignore or stand back, so if I can get a better service in total from a male driver then that's what I prefer.

We've had one pink taxi from the airport. The driver knew exactly where she was going and insisted on lifting our cases in and out of the boot. No complaints at all.

I avoid pink taxis too because I need someone to help with my suitcase (hence a good tip).
That one time I used them, the lady driver opened the trunk where my suitcase was, and did not do a thing. I had to tell her "Please help me with the suitcase! I can't do it on my own" -- and that was the truth!
Plus she had problems understanding real simple directions. Never again!
Yes, there is always a queue of them along with the regular taxis and am also normally directly to them - which I now decline - the ladies don't tend to help you with bags (or just give a feeble attempt) as the men do and the ones I've experienced are dreadful drivers, really never felt so nervous before. They just don't seem to be confident drivers IMO!

Exactly why I don't use them - even though I am always directed to them by the supervisor. They are usually always there but never more than 3 or 4 and if it is a really busy time they often direct families to them so sometimes none left, though I don't imagine you would have to wait too long for one.

The pink taxis cost slightly more too, think its an extra 5 dirhams from the airport charge plus the per km rate is higher.
Can I find pink taxis driven by women at the airport? Can I book those too?I need to take a taxi from Dubai Airpot when I com back from my home trip. I don't like to drive with men after bad experience anymore
