I've asked a lot already about myself, now it's my girl's turn. She is 3 and I need advice on which cream/lotion should I use for her? I want to actually maintain her soft skin, I mean should I cont with Johnson's or should I move with another one? If so which ones?

Another vote for Mustela. Johnson's products are chemical laden. Mustela products really suit my 18-month old with the exception of the nappy rash cream. For the bum area we swear by Lansinoh or then just virgin coconut oil.

... We have tried Mustela and Cetaphil on DS1 but not effective. Actually the Mustela products for eczema-prone skin are heavily scented! Not all of them are scented. The Dermo-pediatrics range (Stelatopia etc) are fantastic. As good as QV, but more expensive. We used them on my little one (while QV seemed to be out of stock for a while) and loved it. My eczema tormented son had no issues with it. I swear by the Mustela milky bath oil for newborns. :)

thnx a lot. i think I'm should ditch Johnson's now. As the nurses helped me change those first nappies of DS1 at Al Wasl, they said "Don't use Johnson's products!"

On the advice of my visiting stepmum (UK trained pediatrician) we switched from a routine of QV unfragranced wash in the shower and Lush Dream Cream afterwards to a routine of Pigeon hair & body wash for the hair (just enough fragrance to keep things interesting but not irritate skin), Dove unfragranced soap (from the States) for the body and Bioderma Atoderm lotion afterwards. We apply Oilatum cream to eczema patches after the Bioderma Atoderm. DS1 is 3 and he goes through cycles of eczema patching. DS2 is 1 1/2 and his eczema is not as severe as DS1. We have tried Mustela and Cetaphil on DS1 but not effective. Actually the Mustela products for eczema-prone skin are heavily scented!

Johnsons dries out the skin + causes rashes for some kids - even docs recommend against it. We use Mustela products. One of my friends uses Sebamed for her 2 y.o. DD and swears by it

I have seen QV products in most of the pharmacies I have been in....mind you, I haven't been in many as I have only been here a week! The pharmacies in MOE and Dubai Mall had them, and so did the ones that I passed on street.

QV is really good, for adults too! Used to get bad exczema in summer and QV really helped. Another one is body shop cocoa butter, i think that one has fragrance but I might me wrong. I know body shop do a kids range which one of my sister's friends uses. disclaimer that I don't have my own kids but nephews/nieces that age :)

There is an excellent range called QV. It is very natural with no added perfumes. Affordable too. The QV range is brilliant. Johnson's are full of fragrances and other nasties that are really not the best for young skin. QV is in most pharmacies.
