YAS has without doubt the best facilities for young kids. Yes there is the adrenaline stuff my 11 year old loves, but the 3 +7 year olds cannot get enough of the play areas. There are flumes, and all that bucket slopping stuff, but its kind of separated from the rest of the park so you have more space than Wadi or Atlantis.
Dreamland is great for a nights camping at the chalet with some imported grape but the "zoo" is smelly and sad. It desperately needs an upgrade - barracuda is close by with cheap villas but again quite tired and no heating which is necessary this time of year
Iceland - no experience
Thanks ladies. We decided to go to RAK for a weekend and go to Iceland waterpark as well. :) Next time we will do an Abu Dhabi weekend when they are a bit older and the rides at Yas waterpark isn't as scary to them.
dreamland aquapark in RAk is a bit dated, but cheaper than all the rest and great for the ages you mention- a lot of the advantages of the other parks will not be of use to you your kids are too young.
The entertainer used to have 2 for 1 tickets too- so check. The exit is actually before Al Hamra exit - so it is slightly closer than iceland I think.
We were disappointed in Iceland park for the cost of entry . And the massive wet soccer pitch makes everyones feet sore.

we just went to atlantis aquaventure on the weekend with our 4 year old (and 11 month old) and it was amazing!!!! we barely saw her for hours!! she loved it. could also take the LO i the water too. better than wild wadi as less chance for them to run off and you can sit a lot closer. cannot comment on the other two as have not been. one would hope that they are cheaper though! there is also another one in RAK, can'r remember what it is called though, sorry. you can stay in cabins there which looked like fun.
