According to the Global Competitive Report of 2018 from the World Economic Forum, Oman has the least amount of recorded terrorism incidents.
And thanks to this report, the Royal Oman Police were ranked extremely high in the “liability of police services" - number one in the Arab world and number five worldwide.
The Global Competitive Report measures certain factors that help the production and prosperity of 140 countries around the world – relying heavily on 12 core categories.
The Royal Oman Police commented on this new recognition, saying:
“[Oman’s high ranking] reflects the absence of terrorist attacks, thanks to the political and security stability that [Oman] enjoys.”
They also added:
"This, in turn, was reflected in the Sultanate's result in the cost of organized crime on business.”
