The marine animals will all be local ones from Oman coasts. The theme behind the aquarium takes inspiration from the journeys of the great seafarer, Ahmed Ibn Majid, making the aquarium the “Jewel of Oman.”
The aquarium will also feature an education section offering programmes for children and will be available for school trips. A team of experts will be taking care of the animals to ensure they are treated well.
The goal being this project is to educate and raise awareness about marine life in a fun way in order to grow people’s love for the environment and teach them how to take action for conservation.
