Any traffic fine incurred by an Omani citizen while in the UAE will be waived, according to the UAE government

UAE authorities cancel traffic fines incurred by Omanis in the UAE from the last 5 years

The decision applies to all traffic violations from the last five years.

If you are a citizen of Oman and you have been reported for a traffic violation while driving in the UAE between 2018-2023, the good news is that you won't have to pay it off anymore.

UAE authorities have announced that they will be cancelling all traffic violations incurred by Omani citizens while they were in the emirates, reported state news agency WAM.

No news yet on why the local government has issued this decision, but Omani citizens can rejoice!
