Brunch at Saffron - no non-alcohol packages?!

A friend is having her birthday brunch at Saffron and I'd really like to go along, but the girl who's organising it says they only do one package for adults and that's the booze package at 415dhs. While I'd love to go and spend the afternoon boozing, at 8 months pregnant I doubt that'd be appropriate.

Has anyone ever had a non-booze package there and if so, how did you go about organising it? I really don't want to let my friend down but 415dhs for some salad and a main course is a bit ridiculous.

It's 415 now and last time i was there earlier this year it was 300+. I love Saffron but one of the main reasons why i love it is the variety of drinks. If i'm not drinking, i'm definitely not paying 415, it's just ridiculous.

Hmmm. No, it's not! I don't object to paying for what we're getting but if the rest of the girls are downing bubbly like it's going out of fashion and I'm boring myself stupid on soda water, that's not fair :(. What do Muslims or other non-drinkers do if they want to go there? I get that they're probably wary of people paying for non-booze and getting sozzled but when you obviously aren't drinking - as in you resemble a small container ship or you're veiled - then I don't see the issue.

Me and DH love Saffron! But we usually go for a dinner buffet, which costs half the price and non-alcoholic, amazing food:) Brunch price just seems unfair if you won`t be drinking...

Hi DubaiCat, I'm also pregnant and i'm going to Saffron this weekend, I've been told there is no non alcoholic so I just have to pay the standard rate...not great is it?
