I read an article today in 7Days about children's toilet facilities where a mum mentioned she got dirty looks because she'd taken her 9 year old son into the ladies bathroom. She said she was too scared to let him go to the men's toilet alone. It got me thinking about how old is too old to take a boy into the ladies? I don't have children so I can't comment. I'm just genuinely interested for future reference! I don't have kids but I would say 12 It wouldn't bother me as I have a nephew and I remember my Sister taking him in as she didn't want him to use the Gents alone. Years ago it would of been safe but times have changed What do Dads do with their Daughters in this case? [b'>Dads[/b'> will send there [b'>Daughters[/b'> in ladie's, ladies are harmless compared to men Lo! What if she is really young I meant :-)

At Dubai Ladies' Club boys are allowed until age 7... On Ladies' Days at Dubai municipality parks, the age is 4. (Just for info-- if I had a young son I wouldn't send him in alone to a men's public toilet!) I still think 7 is so young but perhaps that is me :-) Me too I would say probably 10.

I'd say when a boy hits puberty he should be heading off to the men's bathroom.

[b'>Dads[/b'> will send there [b'>Daughters[/b'> in ladie's, ladies are harmless compared to men Lo! It might be ok here with prevalence of bathroom attendants but I would not want my daughter going in to the ladies alone if there were none. A 12 year old girl was molested in the Arabian Ranches shopping center toilets a few years back by a man who slipped in un-noticed. In the UK there has been a couple of horror stories of girls being attacked, during the day in ladies bathrooms by men lying in wait in there. I wouldn't take the risk.

I still take my 10 year old in with me and so far have never noticed any negative reactions....
