I just found out I may have naturally miscarried (even though i didnt even know i was pregnant - negative home pregnancy tests) and i was due to start IVF this month.

So now i have more time to wait - im so confused about which doctor to go with - ive been to see fakih/pankaj and dr mohammed and i can see pros and cons in all clinics and i just cant decide which to go with. Im working myself up to a bit of a state about it all... They all have such great success rates - i actually feel cycnical about them!

Thoughts pls? Whose actually had success at these clinics ? Thanks so much

I had to see a Dr at the Rashid hosp Fertility Centre years ago when I was pregnant, obviously it was not for IVF, but some complications, and I saw a Dr Pankaj, I assume this is the same Dr. My friend also went with him for her fertility treatment and all went well, first time too. As a person, I liked him, and if I needed IVF, then I would have gone through him.

Had successful results with IVF treatment with dr Pankaj just recently. Their success rate was 45% for under 36. As you probably know it drops with age. They also don't put any more than two eggs if under the age 34 and not more than three if older. I found him to be very good but be prepared for long waits at the clinic sometimes for check ups as they are very busy! Good luck !

Hi. 12 years ago I went through IVF with Dr Pankaj when he was with DGFC. I had 3 transferred and very lucky enough to have twins on the first attempt. I liked Dr Pankaj and DGFC, but they are not together anymore. Not much help really, sorry. Good luck xx

Can't offer help with details unfortunatley, but I know of someone who's had success with Dr Pankaj, she doesn't live here anymore. I also knew a medical secretary who used to work for him and she always spoke very highly of him. Good luck.

8 eggs!! thats ridiculous!! did they get pregnant? Thanks Sunglow - concieve (pankaj) is one of the ones i tried - but its so far away and everytime i went i was made to wait for at least an hour - which is tough when working. If however i heard may people success with him i would still consider it. They also open over the weekend which is great, Dr Mohammad at DGCF is also a ridiculously long wait - however they are much closer which makes it easier. But close friday saturdays which is a pain... sooo difficult!

You are right in feeling a little bit cynical. IVF clinics here often treat patients who would not be considered for IVF elsewhere (newly wed - only being trying for a year etc) They also transfer a far high number than is allowed by law elsewhere. ( I know of cases where 8 fertilised eggs where transferred). If you can find out their inclusion for treatment criteria it may give you a more realistic idea. (how long do you have to have been trying before you can be seen or treated etc) Edited for typos edited by Genie on 16/11/2011

Hello I asked the question yesterday about cost for a friend of mine coming over and I was told about Conceive in Sharjah who have a very good reputation. She had also heard of them and she is in the UK. Give them a look. Good luck to you and really hope it works out for you.x

Hi Melinda, I am sorry I cant really help with your query but I recently visited a private clinic on Al Wasl close to Iranian hospital and saw something about IVF, really not sure who does it and the success rate but you can try to give them a call and take it from there maybe. Its called Al Moosa Clinic and the number is 04-345-2999, Goodluck and lots of baby dust your way!
