Can anyone please help? We have heard that you can buy Juicy Couture (knock offs) at Karama markets..... is this true? Are they open in the day? Wanted to go today. Also, I know this sounds silly...I know they are in Karama...but where in Karama?
Thanks

I don't get it. Can someone please enlighten me on the attraction of Juicy Couture? So many people here seem to be into this label, but certainly not in my home country. Aren't they just tracksuits with sparkles? How are they better than any other tracksuit or lounge wear? Is it just the bling? I saw an overly plump lady wearing a bright pink suit a size too small with high high heels the other day. It looked seriously bad to the point of embarrassing. I wondered why she was such a slave to fashion when it actually detracted from her looks. Clearly the label is highly desirable to some. Serious question from the fashionably (or maybe athletically) challenged. It`s not just you. I also think that Juicy Couture pink velour tracksuits are a fashion abomination. Mostly being worn by overly plump ladies so they can look even more plump. It belongs to Karama anyway.

Hi sunshine96 - sorry to butt in your thread.. Also looking for Juicy Couture in Karama - ladies can you pls advise on where I can find the most genuine looking ones in Karama and how much for a pant and sweatshirt together? Ive been there before and been ripped off and they keep saying we are more genuine because our material is so and so...so i would really appreciate your personal experience and any shop names.. Also looking for Coach bags..if anyone knows where in Karama i can buy these and how much? As a general rule of thumb can i negotiate at 50% of what ever they are quoting or 75% or? this may help me in terms of negotiation. Go to the designer retail outlet mall on al ain rd nr silicone oasis they have real juicy couture tracksuits lots in at half price all old stock end of stock ...the mall also sells other brands cheap as well better than karama lol Hi fairycakeyumm - I just tried calling outlet mall - the reception said that they dont have juicy coutoure :(? would these be sold at another store - if so any idea of the name and the rough prices - i dont have a car so i want to make sure they are still selling and the rough prices before i go..thanks No the shops are all under different names that sell branded items. I was there Friday u can't miss it lotsa tracksuits all about half price so jackets 300 Dhs or less and jogger roughly same plus t shits etc Thank you so much for this...only thing is that in karama i think someone here mentioned that you can get it for around AED 140..(not sure if that was just the top or the top and bottoms)...if for both then its very cheap compared to the original and also affordable for me..i know that the quality may not be the exact same but if similar than i dont mind paying less..anyway, i shall compare both and then decide..thanks for helping me Your best off on eBay then as karama in my opinion are the worse tracksuits ever, they are rubbish and my friend had one that shrunk and stitching all come away after one wash.plus they really do look fake. My opinion is save up or get a tracksuits from new look which are alot cheaper. Good luck in your search.

Somewhere in the Emirates my sister in law is grinding her teeth... It drives her insane that Karama sells JC, she buys all of her things original from the stores and is furious when she has spent a fortune on something then sees someone walking down the street in a knock off as though they're rocking the real deal. Don' even get me started on Ralph Lauren... Can't see the problem SIL knows hers is genuine who cares what anyone else is carrying/wearing/thinking??? edited by angela on 31/01/2012 It's the ethics of it all thou...... if you wanna support crime and child labour to save a few quid; go ahead. Lol . Out of all the coincidences in the world, on our recent trip to China, we met an Indian guy in Hong Kong airport who was in the business of counterfeiting. He used to work as a salaried professional in HK, he quit and started up a factory in Guangzhou that produces fake goods. He now has 3 factories producing all manner of fake goods, told us that there were no children working for him - he said that the authorities regularily inspected his factories- and that the business was so profitable that there was no need to employ kids. His family lives in HK and he lives in Guangzhou and he shuttles between the two cities every weekend. I'm not arguing ethics, just saying that there's quite a bit of propaganda involved with counterfeiting. This article in the Telegraph provides a different perspective: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/7969335/Fake-goods-are-fine-says-EU-study.html Edited because I couldn't get it to link properly. edited by tkoshy on 01/02/2012

yes, along with ralph lauren, mothercare, h&m, banana republic, dkny, gap etc. not to mention the conditions of the kids making your hand-knotted carpets. just because you paid a higher price for the good, don't clear your conscience - you're not paying higher to the kids making the goods, you're paying higher to the brand which is just getting greater profits.

It's the ethics of it all thou...... if you wanna support crime and child labour to save a few quid; go ahead. that's not true. all your major brands get their stuff made in third world countries, all in sweat shops, all with little kids doing the work. edited by square whisk on 01/02/2012 Didnt Primark get caught for this recently?

If you are on Sheikh Rashid road coming from Lamcy Plaza Head towards the sign posts Port Rashid You will see the sign for Karama and you have to get right and come off the main road Follow the flow of traffic when you come off and bear right At the roundabout go straight over Take the next right then your immediately right The shops are on both your left and right Hope this makes sense edited by louisedvs on 31/01/2012
