I need a hairdresser that can make a blow dry have volume (like really "big hair") and last longer than my way home. I know Lebanese and Syrian male hairdressers can. There must be some here in Dubai I would think. Can any of you ladies point me in the right direction?

I go to a Lebanese hairdresser (female) in the Carleton Hotel in Deira. Her name is Evelyn and she does a great job on my hair. The hotel has valet parking so it is not a nightmare to go there, either. edited by mrsb. on 15/08/2014

Try Amro Ladies Salon, they have a few branches and all of their hairdressers are Lebanese or Syrian and do a really good job. http://www.amroladiessalon.com I agree - I used to go to their Shangri-La branch weekly as they were so good.

There are tons and tons of levantine hairdressers here! Amro is normally excellent. I did get major attitude once though from on of their female stylists in the Qamardeen branch because I wanted my hair curled with a blow dry and not a tong but every other time as been great Michael at Pace e Luce in Al Manzil is great. Just be careful what product is used - I don't know what they used to put on my hair but it made it so smooth and slippery than it would go flat in minutes Zahi (Lebanese) and Ibrahim (Syrian) in Yas Souk Al Bahar are also both good

Try Jet Set at Grosvenor House. En Vogue in JBR has Lebanese/Arab stylists as well.

Thanks Guiness and Mrssak. I think I'll give Pace e Luce a go. It looks as if all they're hairdressers are Lebanese, whereas the other salon boasts International hairstylists. And apparently they also have a salon in Jumeirah 1, just around the corner. Open to other suggestions...
