If it's croissants then Carrefour have frozen uncooked croissants - 6 in a packet for 10dhs - very tasty hot straight from the oven. Even better is the Wewalka croissant dough shelved near the smoked salmon and semi-fresh pasta, bakes up with nice layers and has a faint almond aroma and you can fill it to taste prior to baking.

Also, where can I get Nabisco Nilla Vanilla Wafers. Was seeing the banana pudding recipe. What can I use instead if these are not available here. TIA Choithrams stocks both of these items. do a google image search before you go so you know what packaging to look for.

Thanks a TON :) will check in Spinneys. Also, where can I get Nabisco Nilla Vanilla Wafers. Was seeing the banana pudding recipe. What can I use instead if these are not available here. TIA You could use sponge fingers instead, not the same shape but would soak up the liquid the same.

I have purchased these Pillsbury crescent roll cans at Waitrose at Dubai Mall. Occasionally Spinney's may have them but not always. I haven't seen them in any other supermarkets myself but perhaps others have. Yes,these are the ones. I find them regularly at Spinneys/WAitrose. Also often at Park n Shop.

What can I use instead of '2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls'? Was going through a recipe that needs this. TIA
