Fortunately my DS has done a good job of losing the actual tooth before it even gets to being put under a pillow... Until tonight.

So dutifully I have taken the tooth from it's little envelope and placed some dirhams in it's place.

But now what? Do I keep the tooth? Toss it out? If I keep it, where do I keep it? With things like baby record or is that just gross.

What do I do with this little tooth!?

lil miss has lost 8 teeth and I think we may have about 4 of them still...I didnt intentionally get rid of the others, but I still don't really have a plan for what is going to happen with the remainder. I just can't bear to throw them out for some reason. We tell her the toothfairy takes the teeth to become stars in the sky, and have a had a couple of close calls when she has been rummaging in my jewellery box...this 'toothfairy' would have a lot of explaining to do if they were found! Going rate in our place is 10dh, and we give a note and coins..makes it seem like a huge gift :) Saying that, she has lost teeth in other countries, and then she just gets what we can scounge up.

My tooth fairy kept my teeth and then my mum (tooth fairy) gave them to me when I didn't believe anymore. I kept them then tossed them out when I moved out of home. My DD's tooth fairy is keeping the teeth and I'll probably do the same as my mum did.

I've just kept the teeth in a little box. I doubt I'll ever do much with them. A friend of my sister's had her son's eye teeh made into into ear rings, they looked a bit like pearls! Sorry, but that is just gross! In our house, the REAL tooth fairy turns them into stars.

We have only 3 so far and they are in my jewelery box. If your DS asks what the fairies do with the teeth.....I tell my little ones (as my Mum told me) that the fairies build their houses with them!! ;)

Yeah, you keep them and when your child is about 14 and wants to drink coke, you bring out one of those sweet little teeth and put it in a glass of coke. Check it 24 - 48 - 72 hours etc later and it should hopefully put them off drinking coke for life. ;) LOL!!!!!!

My Mum has kept all mine and my sisters teeth... we are now either side of 40 and she still has them (along with a lock of our hair from when we were babies and our pony tails from when we had our hair cut from really long to short...!). My sister's kids are now just at the age to start losing theirs and she has started a tooth collection too.... bleugh, no idea what I shall do when my LO starts losing hers...
