Does anyone know of any Zumba classes in Dubai?

I would quite like to join one but don't want to have to pay a monthly fee for a membership, just for one off classes.

Are there ever any expat woman meetings/get togethers that don't happen on a working day? I am new here in Dubai and work Sunday-Thursday. I would like to but am not too sure how to go about meeting new people outside of work!

I would not suggest Zumba to a pregnant woman specially if you do it with JC, contrary to Blimey I found that is quite a cardio work out, I use a heart rate monitor and my highest heart rate is 160 and average is 140-145 and the calories I burn per class are 450, so maybe not that hard for some but quite a work out for others, I think depends of your physical condition. So if you are pregnant I would suggest to do swimming or walking for the time being.

is the something like pregnancy zumba??? Although I found zumba class not "cardio" enough for my taste, I am not sure whether all those excitement would be good for pregnant women either. Anyway, In Shape Gym on beach road have exercise class for pregnant women that you may want to consider instead. Click on their class schedule. And then click on anti natal class. You can find the exercise description. http://www.inshapeme.com/fitness.html

is the something like pregnancy zumba???Do you mean Zumba classes [b'>during[/b'> pregnancy or [b'>after [/b'> pregnancy? I personally wouldn't during pregnancy as your heart rate can get really high (awfully hard to pace yourself during such an energetic work-out!) and you can lose a lot of water through sweating. I would contact one of the fitness companies that specializes in pregnancy exercise classes instead.

Hi superdreameruk, I can recommend a Colombian instructor called Juan Carlos, he is in TECOM (studio in Icon Tower next to Byblos Hotel). He is giving classes on Mon & Wed 8:30 am and Thurs 10.30 am. I had tried different Zumba instructores and he is, for me, the best. Really good cardio work and his class is energetic and fun. Thanks to his Zumba and, of course watching what I eat, I managed to loose those stubborn 5 kilos.

Dubai Ladies Club offers them with the option of paying per class. They have an Aqua Zumba class that sounds interesting. The instructor is really good.

Where in the City are you? Core Studio in the Marina is just a classes gym, and you can buy a book of vouchers to use when you go.
