I use Tri Nature Baby Bath from Australia. Mum sends me it over when I need more or I get visitors to bring me a bottle. 1 bottle tends to last me about 2 months of washes with 3 squirts in the bath (although my LO is in the big bath now) and then 1 squirt into hands to lather on hair and body. I have found everything else dries his skin and he gets eczema with J&J, Mustela etc. When he was a baby (after about 8 weeks) we introduced the baby bath, before then we used only water. At 8 weeks in was one pump lathered on the hands and wash all of him with it (1 bottle back then was lasting me about 4+ months). I think it can also be sent over here if you order directly from the website if you were interested.

I use the Himalaya range which is very gently on bub's delicate skin I like the Himalaya specifially because it doesnt have those chemicals linked with cancer in them that are in 99% of shampoos, just cant think of the name right now :P

Love Weleda Calendula baby range, specially nappy cream & bath oil. Also use Mustela shampoo/gel for kids. Would recommend both. My friend uses Sebamed for DD and she loves it.

Mustela didnt work for either of my 2 babies. I use Pigeon hair & body wash. I don't do a full-immersion bath; I just stand or sit them in the tub, wet them, turn water off, apply soap to hair and body, then spray off the soap. Lush makes a good talc-free body powder; I use Vanillary on my kids. Kiwispers, when I delivered my kids at Al Wasl/ Latifa, the nurses specifically told me to not use J&J as it causes skin probs! They recommended Sebamed Baby instead. I used the Sebamed Baby liquid bath soap for DS1 for a very long time with good results.

I use both johnson&johnson baby wash and Mustela bath&shampoo on my 10 week old. no allergic reaction to them so far, but johnson products I noticed causes DD to have drier skin. So I sticked to Mustela instead. I usually sponge bath her.

I have used the whole Mustela range from birth for my DD. No reaction, so we are lucky in that sense!

depends what you are after. (inexpensive, natural organic, smells nice, low irritant etc etc) the J&J products are a bit controversial due to some of the ingredients used in them in some countries, I'm not sure how that applies to the ones sold in the middle east but i've always steered clear. Newborns are fine to be washed with nothing other than water, they don't need talc (not good for their lungs) and if they need oil then in my mind anything edible is better than a mineral or petrochemical based oil. For massage I used pure almond oil, unscented. Even natural perfumes can be irritant to their skin, its fine just to let your baby smell, well, like a baby. I used just water for my 17 month old, occasionally with a little cetaphil if he's really grubby looking ;), I have a baby shampoo I bought in NZ called Gaia (or something like that) thats is made from natural ingredients and I'm still on my first bottle, ever.

Mustela products ( Stelatopia- bath oil, Stelatopia cream for body& face because my baby's skin is dry and has little eczema, etc...). The products are not cheap at all but they are without perfume, colorants and without paraben; and of course no tears, which is great.

With my both I did not use any bath products until they were 4 - 6 weeks. Newborns' skin is really senstivie plus they do not get dirty (not counting spit milk and poos ;)) I swear by Sudocream for nappy rash (I also cream DS creases with it) and Mustela products - I only use their newborn hair and body wash for both my kids. For DD who is almost two I use Johnson and Johnson bath bubbles and I use Johnson and Johnson oil for both of them in the evenings. I also heard about olive oil never used it though. HTH

Hello, My LO is due in March so I am in full gear getting organised. Was wondering as to what are the baby bath stuff are best for a new born...oil, soap, shampoo and any other. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. I heard Extra virgin olive oil is real good. Is this right? Thanks!!
