I just gotten into it, and i have to say its such an eyeopener into peoples lives. I understand wanting to follow celeb tweets(i love them), but following random people, like housewives talking about where they go for dinner, or what they watch on tv, i dont get that?! And on the other side i would have no interest in people following me or tweeting about my day to day activities.....unless i was trying to make myself into a Z list celeb of some sort, the type who think if they hang out with other z listers it makes them famous by association? You know the type im talking about.

Who do you follow on twitter. My current fav is Jimmy Carr, so funny.

You are missing out, its addictive. >;) No-I would be missing out on doing things I enjoyed if I spent yet more time on the computer-would rather write nice long emails to people I care about in the same time it takes to follow celebs I don't know from a bar of soap and some such And EW might have to take a back seat if you started tweeting, heavens forbid! It already does-would far rather be emailing my son

DC you are hilarious! :D! I am on twitter but rarely tweet...just to give a msg to my sis but it makes for great reading material in meetings. Especially if you get @MeetingBoy. He's hilarious! :D

Maybe people who tweet should be called 'tw**ts? yup, the polite one has a 'i' in it though, the accurate one, an 'a' Love twitter, not for all I'm sure, but it brightens my day with it's news and views..

It's weird as it *is* addictive , but it acts a bit like my 'water cooler' I guess, i don't spend that much time around other adults in a working week etc, love some of the wittier journalists, and 'ordinary people' - have a lot of great banter on there as a rule..

Mmmm not really sure what tweeting is about, so do you just sit waiting for someone to tweet?

Oooohh Mother Inferior what's your job and how do I get one?! :D Contrary to 'popular' belief, I have 12 years experience that leads me to be able to put 'd*cking about on the internet' on my CV :) :) In all seriousness though, my industry is very much online these days - Marketing/PR/Journalism/Events ex-set-errraaa :)

I use Twitter at different times - lately it's been the best for anything to do with News of The World - it's by far the fastest medium for breaking news. I often think I'm too boring for it but I still have a look and if I'm fed up with someone, don't follow them anymore!

I think everbody joins twitter for their own reasons, celeb gossip, keeping in touch with friends and to promote business. There are A to Z list celebs and other non descript people and you can choose who you want to follow. Thats why its called a social network, it should not be used as a defamatory environment. Freedom of choice is a good thing.
