I thought it was in Satwa, but I hear from elsewhere, that's not right. Can anyone give me directions, please? Thank you.

FYI - I just checked on Fridays they are open 7am-10am and then from 3:30pm-7pm, the guy I spoke to said to avoid prayer time obviously as they will shut up shop. HTH. :0)

I went there at 10 and it was busy. I need to go back tomorrow on my way from work. I will ask their opening time.

The plant souk at Satwa is okay, but it's smaller. Turn right at the Iranian Hospital and drive a few hundred metres down the road... The one near Dragonmart is harder to find but worth the trip! I now call up one of the owners there and get him to deliver plants to me. About AED 100 but much easier than driving there if you don't have time, and you easily make the delivery money back in savings from the other plants you buy..,.

Was there on Sat - drive past Dragonmart all way to next roundabout, take slip road to right. Follow signs for Warsan. You'll come to another roundabout. Turn left and go past Govt plant nursery. Nursery is on your left past that.

There is one past Dragon Mart and International City. This is the one that used to where Jadaf is ( Business Bay) The link below shows directions http://www.dubai-shopping-secrets.com/dubai-garden-shops.html

Yes, they most definitely do! There's a good selection of sizes, shapes and colours and the prices are really good. It's actually a nice place to wander around.

Sorry to butt in, but do they also sell plant pots at the Plant Souk out by Dragon Mart? I'm particularly looking for coloured clay pots as opposed to plain old terracotta.

Just to warn you though, once you go left at that roundabout you'll see an old nursery that has gone out of businsess and there is nothing out there. Just as you start to think the crazy ladies at EW don't know how to give directions, you'll start to see the souks. Don't let the empty building scare you. And don't go to the first souk you see, drive though and have a look b/c there is soooo much in there once you start to drive through it.

There's one in Satwa. At least I saw some gardening shops there. Come down Al Wasl Road till you reach the Iranian Hospital. Turn right a the signal and park ( ther is a paid parking lot on the street). The shops are jus down the road from the signal. I hope I make sense!!

Thanks, emlsnre, I'll have to get myself to Dragon Mart first. Oh dear:) Still amn't using my PC, by the way. It was repaired weeks ago but husbad has lost the hard drive. Oh good. Was wondering how you had gotten on with it...... I am sure it will reappear when you are not expecting it.... DM is easy to find, Emirates Road, come off once you have driven past International City, think it is signed to Hatta. Just up on your right then, you can't miss it......:)
