I hope I am not too late on posting my good wishes. Heartiest congratulations KW.
God bless the little one....
Well done with VBAC. U r a true inspiration to all the other ladies treading this path..
awww thanks ladies!
Baby Eva Jane (Evie) was born at 12:50am on Monday 1st October, by VBAC after only 4 hours at the hospital. Her timing was fantastic, 1 day after her due date, contractions started in the morning but were not bad and I managed to do a supermarket shop and take my son to soft-play, husband was able to come home form work at normal time and I could put my son to bed before heading off to the hospital. (7cm when I got there, was beginning to think birth was easy until I got to 9cm, Dr broke my water and the next hour or so was intense (to put it nicely) but thankfully she came out quickly ( I am in awe of women who push for hours!). My husband is still traumatised after being a helpless spectator in an epidural free birth, I was quite sore for a few days ;) but am amazed at how much faster I am on my feet vs my c-secton last time, (which is good because we are moving house in 2 weeks!). She is utterly perfect and her older brother adores her (has been singing her songs and rocking her to sleep)!
She does have tongue and lip tie, just like her brother did :(, I have managed to get the tt snipped but no-one in Doha can really deal with the lip tie, you have no idea how lucky you all are in the UAE as far as these things go! Her weight gain is great though and since I have finally figure out how to put nipple shields on properly (clearly I never read the instructions last time around) things are healing and her latch gets a little better every day.
love to you all
