Recommendations for a tailor in Satwa to copy some clothes

Hi all,
I have an old top that has been worn to death because I love it so much. Put it on the other day and husband complained it was looking a little too worse for wear. I can't bear to part with it!!!

I've heard there are shops in Satwa where you can take a pair of trousers or a shirt or dress and they will replicate it with the material you buy for a resonable cost. I am wondering whether these tailors are linked to to the actual fabric shops or whether they operate individually.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable one either way?
Thanks so much

Fantastic! Thank you Ladies! 2 options is great! Cherry Ripe thanks for those specific directions. Googled Coventry and this is what I found in case anyone else is interested (from Time Out): This tiny no-frills shop might be hidden down an alleyway in Satwa, but don’t let that put you off. Ishwar, the proprietor has been churning out excellent ladies’ and gents’ outfits in Dubai for the past 26 years, and he’s got a loyal customer base to prove it. It’s a family-run business (his sons beaver away at the back of the shop cutting cloth) and the service is ultra-friendly. If you’re a regular, he’ll even supply you with a beedi cigarette or two while you wait (he insists the tiny Indian smokes are harmless, although we’re not so sure). Select your material from any of the shops on the main street – Regal Traders (04 344 9092) is just nearby – and he’ll do the rest. We had a suit made three years ago that still ranks as one of the best-made items in our wardrobe. Click here to find out more! Be aware that during peak season you’ll have to wait for a couple of weeks to get the end product back. And it’s best to have a picture of what you want to have copied, or even better, a similar item that you can leave with him to work from. This isn’t the kind of shop that boasts coffee tables laden with Milan stylebooks. But for Dhs500 a suit (excluding material, including beedis), it’s an absolute bargain and a great place to visit. I go to Coventry which has been recommended on this board many times. I've had trousers made by them and also had a few store-bought ones copied by them. They always do a great job.

I have been using Ramnik at Qassar al Anaqa in satwa for many years. He is up one of the little lanes opp the dubai municipality in satwa, just near fida and the fabric shops. It is the laneway with the red fire hydrant on the wall, sorry but this is my landmark. With fida behind you, head south towards the petrol station but on the right side of the street and go till you find a laneway with the fire hydrant. If you reach the petrol station you have gone too far. He will supply any zippers, buttons, lining fabric etc you need or you can provide it all. Ask for a quote first to see if it is worthwhile. He is open 9-1 and 4 till late. Phone number I have is 04 3494124.
