Hi SEY83 - so how is Day 7 going? My box set still hasn't arrived yet but I'm hoping it will be here early next week. Good idea to keep in touch - perhaps there are others out there who are doing Insanity and would like to share their experiences?

I'll give you a shout when I'm ready to start but do keep me updated on how you are doing and keep going... you are already seeing a difference which is fantastic - just keep thinking about how you will feel after the 60 days.

:)

Hey SEY83... glad to hear you're enjoying it - its much more of a manageable programme isn't it. I only did Alpha and Beta - I have Gamma but Christmas got in the way so I never got started on it. Day 1 of Insanity today... I am actually really looking forward to it - not sure I'll feel the same way tomorrow though! I'll keep you posted... and you keep me posted on T25 too!

I'm on Day 4 of Focus T25 and absolutely loving that it's 25 minutes. Yesterday had a whole bunch of floor work and push ups, and I realised that I'm back down to not being able to do more than 2 push ups in a row :-( I also get what you mean about moves needing practice - lol some of them need proper coordination because he combines upper body and lower body to achieve optimum results. I'm very uncoordinated! What I find amazing is that even though it's been ten months since I stopped Insanity, I have lost some of the strength but a lot of it is still there! I also feel like my muscles will strengthen again very quickly this time. Did you do Alpha, Beta and Gamma, or only Alpha and Beta? I can't believe your doing Insanity again! So brave of you...I think I have decided never again. My neck suffered a lot from the high impact of Insanity so I don't want to cause anymore damage there, and quite frankly it was too hard lol. Good luck to you - I would love to hear how you find it second time around.

Hi SEY83 - yes I'm still here! I finished T25 just before Christmas - I really enjoyed it - didn't give me the same results as Insanity though - not sure why because I certainly felt as if I was working hard - it may be because I didn't have that much weight to lose and I wasn't as strict with my food intake as I was when doing Insanity - but its a really good programme - if I couldn't fit one of the workouts in it was really easy to do two the following day. I also liked the introduction of weights too that added a different angle and made it interesting. Incidentally... I'm restarting Insanity next week! Keep me posted on how you do - some of the moves need a bit of practice but once you get the hang of them its easy peasy! Good luck and enjoy!

I got my Brazil Butt Lift from the US through a friend and now she will send me Turbo Fire so obviously got rather annoyed to see that it was on sale her! Its in Sun and Sand shop in Dubai Mall, they have Turbo fire, Brazil Butt lift, Hip Hop abs, P90X and 10 min workouts. Has anyone done Turbo fire?

Apologies for the radio silence! Not had time to log in for ages. Singarosa - well done you on the weight loss. Insanity is tough on the joints there is no denying that and that is why there is such a long disclaimer at the beginning of the DVD! Keeping good form is essential, a sturdy pair of cross trainers too should help - I'm not sure about any sort of mat - I didn't use one except for the floor work exercises and I didn't suffer with any injury. Making sure you bend your knees when you land and sort of land like a spring i.e. don't jolt and come to a sudden stop. How are you getting on now? Any others still out there? Piggle, Onelasttime, Pepito? How's it all going? Oh and Tweeters! SEY83 - I am loving Focus T25 - it still gives you those "I'm not quite sure why the **** I'm doing this" moments but much easier to get your head round as the workouts are only 25 mins - yeah OK you don't stop for one moment during those 25 mins so there's still a river of sweat running down your body!! Definitely recommend it to everyone whose tried Insanity.

A lot of people seem to some sort of injury from Insanity - it's so tough on the joints. You need to be really careful. I think the biggest advice is to make sure that you're using a yoga mat. to soften the impact on jumps. I managed to get a neck injury from Insanity which comes and goes...I'm actually scared to go back to Insanity because of it :-( But 5kgs in 3 weeks - wow! that's fantastic!!

Singarosa, how is Insanity going? have you managed to keep it up? What are your results like?? How about the other ladies, are you still going strong? The amazing thing about Insanity is that 5 months later and I haven't put back on any weight, despite having no control over my eating this summer :-( Snow White did you start Focus T25? I'm desperately trying to get my hands on a copy as I would love to do it!

I'll keep posting even though i feel everyone vanished for some reason, but i need the support and to stay motivated.. so i did polymetric cardio circuit and it killed me.. but i finished it till the end which made me so happy.. i never sweated like this ever.. even when i did P90X.. this is awesome and i can't wait to see my progress.. my DH is a great support and he might start with me.. he was very proud yesterday and told me that he is looking up to me.. i even started clean eating from Sun and it's going great so far.. dinner does nto take much time.. never thought that healthy eating only takes 30 mins.. which is great.. my body is really aching today, and i am just so happy that it is.. i just need to know what kind of shoes is best for insanity.. my trainers are really bad for this kind of workout that i had to do it yesterday barefoot.. it wasn't bad tho.. i thought my feet would hurt but thankfully it did not.. but i do not want to continue doing it barefoot.. I hope this thread comes back to life..:(

So i finally got my Insanity package and will start either today or tomorrow. I got my trainers, my foam mat and my sanity.. I work from 8 to 6 pm 5 days a week.. i just really need your advice before i start? What is the best diet? when should i do my work out? how many hours in between my workout (Before and after) should i eat..?? What recovery drinks do you guys use? Also, please let me know that i can do this.. i saw the videos and it really scared me but i really am determined.. I am around 20 kilos overweight and really need to start being healthy and fit.? Is it true the results start to show midway through the 2nd month.. i'll be doing the fit test soon.. but by the look of it it really freaked me out.. i heard that this workout could cause knee and back aches is that true? what can i do to reduce any injury because i really want to keep going? is it ok to wear a back support or that will just make it hard to do the work out..?? please any advice i would be very grateful.. What did you guys wish you knew before starting this work out..?? i was wondering if i should do P90X or Insanity? i already have P90X and i did it almost 5 years ago, and i loved it but they are too long.. especially with a baby and work i need to do these intense short workouts.. I am really excited to work.. i am so glad i found this forum.. i will need loads of support in my insanity journey please advice me and i need support.. i hate looking at myself in the mirror :(

So how are all you insane Insanity ladies doing? I trust we are still Digging Deeper and haven't yet smashed the telly in an attempt to give the lovely Tania a nice left hook on the chin!!!! SEY83 - great to hear from you - Focus T25 has just arrived! However, I am not even going to open the box until I get back from my hols at the end of August. I have kept all the weight off so far without much effort - I have done nothing on the exercise front for weeks as work has been so busy but I intend to get straight back into it after the holiday. I am contemplating doing Insanity again before Focus T25... I do miss it so!!! Keep plugging away ladies - it is so worth it - it is only a few weeks of your lives and a little (well OK a lot) of sweat and hard work but you will feel on top of the world when you finish that last workout.

Yes, well done everyone! Insanity is tough! And it's not just physically challenging but really mentally challenging as well. Don't let your mind tell you to stop, try and keep going even if it means modifying the exercise you're doing. We are halfway through week 2 of month 2. The first week of month 2 was crazy, after month 1 and then a recovery week but we are seeing such great results. I've lost 10kgs since March, 6kgs has just been since starting Insanity. I can only imagine with the longer tougher workouts, I'll keep seeing results over the next 2 1/2 weeks. Dig Deeper! ;)

Ladies well done! You are all doing great! How have you been finding the results, in terms fo weight loss, the way that you look, etc? Snow White - Focus T25 looks fantastic! I want it! My brother is coming over from the UK after Eid so I have asked him to bring it with him. He has also just started it, based on me asking him to buy it for me. He said its's good. Not quite as tough as Insanity but a really good workout, and for me "not as tough as Insanity" sounds about right!

Piggle I agree, I'm finding it much harder to recover and had a migraine yesterday which is so rare. I'm not drinking any recovery formula but guess I really should be. I've just done day 4 of month 2 and its hard but ok. It's just too long for me and I'm struggling with motivation as I'm fighting to fit it in. Dreading next week when they add cardio abs onto the end. I've decided to finish insanity then have a week off (visitors) then do hip hop abs and then I'll either get T25 or redo insanity again. I'm also looking into doing my PT training, I was going to do it in the uk before we moved out here but I want a proper course not just a piece of paper!!!

Well done everyone! Pepito - I think starting on week 2 is a good idea. Gives you more motivation. Onelasttime - I sooooo hear ya on the 59 minute clock......... I am taking longer to recover.....and my body just feels so tired........I bought the protein shake syntha 6 but high protein drinks do not agree with my skin......so I stopped it and am going back to Lean95..... I preferred the conditioning session as it wasn't repetitive and you didn't have the chance to dread what lay ahead! Struggling with it mentally....... Keep going ladies!

Well done everyone!!! I've just done day 1 of month two with the fit test and circuits....... Omg!!! For a start the clock being 59 minutes was not gratefully received but it is another level entirely! I loved recovery week so this was a real shock to the system especially having had a week off mid way through as I was Ill. I hope I can maintain the motivation to finish this!

Well done Piggle! I am now on week 3 - I haven't re-started from scratch, I have started from week 2, it was too depressing to restart the whole program from the beginning! And hopefully with Ramadan I can see quicker results :-) How is everyone else doing?

Day 2 of Month 2 done....OMG....I didn't know it was possible to sweat that much!!!! It is really tough and oooohhhhhh how I HATE the upper body work.......I had to modify a lot of the moves......It really is another level but in a way not too surprising given how hard Shaun T works you in the first month. How is everyone else getting on??????

I have just had a look at the T25, and it looks great! but tough. I am however sceptical when it comes to their before/after images in the website (http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/focus-t25-workout.do). Has anyone seen Tania's before/after pictures? Can't believe that!!! Well if it's true, for once I feel more empathy towards her, lol :D

Wow ladies, I see what you mean by the recovery week not being all yoga and stretches....but it is a welcome break from the 'pounding' over the last few weeks. Onelasttime - Hope you are on the mend now. So many horrible bugs going. Pepito - agree with Snow White - probably best to re-start and build back up the fitness levels. Notnewintown - way to go! Agree re: the shoulder exercises at the end....I would much rather do basketball jumps than those!!! Am dreading month 2.....especially as the recovery week feels quite easy compared to month 1........ Keep going ladies!

BIG WELL DONE to you all! Its so good to see that the group is growing. Pepito - restart the programme I think you will find that better than trying to pick up from where you left off. Its tough doing the six days in a row and I found trying to fit in the weekend workouts the hardest but just keep remembering that this is only a two month programme and that when you reach the end you will look and feel amazing. I have just ordered Shaun T's new workout - called Focus T25 - more insane workouts - 25 mins only but 25 mins of high intensity exercise! Bring it on....!!!

Hi Piggle and all ladies! Piggle, my joints are fine. After the break and buying the cross trainers, I didn't experience any pain. I hope you'll be able to keep your joints pain free! I'm in my recovery week now. God I hate those shoulder burn excercises!
