this is the most hilarious thread, particular the helicopter post! I never thought about bringing toys to Dubai! And the comment re the hands on a v-b***** remind me of something that happened to me a long time ago.... Back in the late 90's our house was burgled when we were away. It was obviously young kids, as they took all of our booze and left my bullet style v-b***** on the sofa, in plain sight, as some sort of 'ha ha we found your toy,' I guess. The police were called out and fingerprinted the whole place (my toy had been put away). It was a female officer, and she told me she couldn't get any prints, so I sheepishly proffered up said toy, in hopes that we could get the b******* that stole everything from us. So there it was, along with numerous other items, covered in black fingerprint dust, on our dining table. I asked her if it was helpful in getting prints, and she told me all she could pull off of it was smudges!!!! I about died of embarrassment, but it is also one of the funniest little moments, too.

with the stories I see in the news (If you can call the Daily Mail 'news') I would be concerned to attempt it :) Customs are quite pot luck, really.

If you decide to do it, given what month we are currently in, I'd wait!

If it causes a buzz take out of packaging and wrap in the straightening irons or hair dryer cord :) Thats sounds like professional advice ;)

I think it's pot luck. You may have no issues. Or if they X-ray and open your bags it could be a little awkward! Probably depends on what customs officer you get on the day! Good luck!
