i would LOVE to hear from you! our LL in the greens has sold and we luckily have time up our sleeves to find the perfect villa for our little family. have heard that these older style gems on the lower end of the market in satwa/al badaa usually don't get advertised and you hear about openings through word of mouth. we would be sure to repay the favor!

There is a 3 bedroomed bungalow being emptied at the moment on our compound Arenco one down from Spinneys on Al Wasl Road. It is a lovely smaller compound with 16 villas surrounding a garden with pool. Quiet location and although houses are very old and not very modern, the maintenance is excellent and they have more character than most houses around. Not sure if they have anyone yet, I am sure they will have a list of folk but if you get in touch with Arenco asap you may be lucky, not sure of rent but possibley around 140k pa

I agree with mollydxb - keep calling arenco. You could also have a walk around the area and pop into the compounds you like. If you hear of any becoming available, call the office straight away and say that you have seen it and are interested.

I know that the managers of the majority of the villas in Al Bada'a are Mazaya Management located in Mazaya centre on Sheikh Zayed Road. Number is :04 3432016 (I believe). I have recently moved into a villa there and these are the people that are managing these properties. If I am not mistaken, I think one or two might be available now. Call this number and ask to speak to Audrey in leasing. Best of luck. It is a great are to live in and very, very conveniently located. We are very happy here!

For the Arenco villa's you will have to keep on at them as the chances of them calling you are slight. I live in one and already know of 3 people that are down on the waiting list and I know my neighbours have friends that also want to move to the area. Early June is when most of us have to send notice to renew so if you can hold off then i'd try again then. If one does become available don't dilly dally like I did last year. We viewed one and thought we'd sleep on it! Gone the next day. The person had been in and signed the new contract the same day we viewed. We were just lucky to call one day and they had received notice 10 minutes before I called. Union Properties have some really nice villa's in the same area too. I hope this helps and good luck. It's such a lovely area.

thanks plum2, the new LL is being wonderful actually but thanks for asking. i'm aware of quite a few who "do a dodgy" to try and up the rent etc. we have just outgrown our apartment and would love the extra space of a villa. though happy for an older style even if a bit shabby.
