i normally tip 50 to the hair dresser and 10 to the salon assistant who washes my hair. but i ADORE my hairdresser and think she's a genius ;D I adore my hairdresser too, was bereft when he had a trip back to the uk recently. I tip him the same as you. When mine went to UK for Vacation i tried someone else and was so disappointed! it's always nice to reward good work and i think 10 - 15% is very decent. I would tip the same in a restaurant for good service so why not the hairdresser!

No. I dont tip. She owns the salon and is not an employee. Agree, but saying that I have never tipped, I believe they charge enough! I did the first time I had my hair cut here....but I won't tip again as they charge enough. I never tipped my last hairdresser, but a Christmas I'd buy her a bottle of wine and give her a tip then. Probably do the same here....but without the wine :)
