I've been going to Ted Morgan in MC since they opened and have always been pleased with my cut & colour, however last time I went I learnt that a few of the girls have left due to not being happy there, I'm hoping this doesn't affect future visits there as I was so pleased to finally have a local good salon. I didn't realise anyone had left, I was told some relocated back to the Palm branch? I thought it was just a change of staff between branches due to visa's but interesting to know that some have left. My stylist isn't at MC anymore so I am trying someone else and so far she has been great.

I had my hair cut yesterday by a fantastic hairdresser, Nickie, who came to my home in Dubai Silicon Oasis. It is the first time since I have moved here that I am thoroughly happy with the cut. Cannot recommend Nickie highly enough ? Hi Anahorish, Just wondering if I could get Nickies number from you? Thanks

I used Ted Morgan for a long time but agree with the other poster that they have gone down hill lately. On my last visit they refunded the cost of the cut as I was really unhappy. Hair works was recommended to me & I was very impressed. Kerry Ann fixed my hair in half an hour.

I too am fussy with my hair and swear by Version Francaise at the Marriott in The Marina. Try Alex or Corine (both French trained and the owners) as either colour and cut extremely well.

I use Stephanie at Ted Morgan on the Palm. She's originally from Ireland and she is fab. My colour is gorgeous and the cut is lovely. Got compliments from DH so there's a first! She is ex SI and lovely!

I know that Donna is away for 3 weeks from May 12th Aswell as a filter use the purple shampoo it helps stop your hair going the brassy colour within 2-3 weeks of colouring. If you swim in the pool make sure you rinse your hair off immediately and i tend not to wash my hair everyday here, i use Batiste dry shampoo as the water here dries mine out. Investing in non shop bought shampoos also help

Heys guys, ive just recently moved to Dubai from the UK and really dont know where to go get my haircut and coloured. Can anyone recommend a salon? thank you What nationality do you want and what is your hair colour Popular ones are Salon Ink Jumeriah Ted Morgan Palm and Motor City Donna at Roots in Barsha They specialise in all colours and are all British/Irish/Australian hairdressers hi saralou, thanks for the advice. ive heard a lot of good things about ted morgan so think i will give them a try. there are just so many salons in dubai, its hard to find a good one that is reasonably priced! I used to go to Salon Ink however it gets busy and can be pricey but they are good! I am a blond and lots of salons messed my colour up or used bleach!!!! Donna is British and comes to my house, i pay AED200 for root , AED300 for highlights ( my hair is long) and AED100 for a cut hi sarahlou, can you send me the details for your hairdresser that comes to your house. It sounds perfect. I'm a blond too so need someone i can trust. By the way I have also invested in a shower filter here because the water really does ruin the colour. my friend suggest the pure blue filter which i recently got and its great. i definitely noticed a difference in the water and my hair feels a lot softer. You can order from their website which is great! Pleasecould you give me the number of Donna as I have had 2 traumas here already in 3 weeks 055-4091400

I have had so many bad hair experiences in the Middle East that my hair is destroyed! I found a salon in media city called Chill Salon which has quite a few Brits and other Europeans working there. They transformed my hair. Before, I could not even brush it, now it is so much better. Still a long way to go, but for me, I would definitely recommend them. Not sure about price unfortunately as it varies every time for me as I have conditioning treatments etc done on my hair. Hope you find someone you like. Helen (who used to be at London Style & Class Dubai Marina before it closed) is now working at Chill. It is Helen who does my hair, she is fab!! edited by Lennox79 on 29/04/2013

I'm looking for a new place too. I've been going to Ted Morgan Motor City for a year and they were good at first but the last two or three visits have been a bit "meh" Try Donna number below she will come to you I am blond so lots of hairdressers like the bleach ( which my hair does not need) she gets the colour perfect everytime

just called the salon and asked for price for trimming and the receptionist mentioned start from 160AED. I give Donna a call and check, Thanks Sarahlou! edited by Tigerente on 28/04/2013 The big salons here are sooo expensive i had to cut back and started to use Donna as i could not justify paying up to AED1000 a month for my hair

Where is Roots in Al Barsha? Need only a trim, how much do they charge? How much is Donna charging if she comes to the house? Had a really good hairdresser but she stopped working on the weekends and last appointment is 18:30hrs so almost impossible to make it... I paid 100 300 for highlights ( have long hair) 200 for roots only
