Babies development 19 months

At 19 months old, your once a newborn is gaining a new found confidence. You’ll notice them walking or even running without support. Some babies may even eat with a spoon unassisted. Although this development might make you sad, seeing how they need you less but they’re all positive signs of their development.

But worry not, you’ll have plenty to catch up on. Having a toddler in the house means messy toys, sudden outbursts and of course a whirlwind of perpetual motion. Your first and foremost priority should be to let them thrive in a safe environment. Don’t restrict their movement but learn to say no when needed.

An important thing to know at this stage is to understand your child’s personality. Not all kids like to pay outside, some are just happy with their crayons and papers. Your baby will show clear signs of his/her personality. It’s your job to recognise it and let them be proud of it.
Your little one could be outgoing, talkative and forever moving or he/she could be calmer, inquisitive and happy in his own toy world – embrace their individuality.
