Has anyone booked the coach from Abu Dhabi airport to Dubai? I telephone yesterday and got a complete numpty on the other end of the phone, I explained what I wanted and she tried to book a flight instead of a coach seat! I'm still not convinced my daughter has a coach seat booked as I asked Etihad to email confirmation and she sent me the eticket receipt. Anyone had this problem? Anyone know if you can just get on the coach without a booking?

I second Arch that flying to Dubai is cheaper than flying to AD, even though it means you fly to AD and than take the bus. Very strange! Didn't know that the bus also went to Marina Mall though, excellent news, thanks for sharing!

The coach from dubai to abu dhabi with etihad is free as long as you have travelled or are travelling with Etihad. You can catch it from chelsea towers on szr or from marina mall. They generally run hourly during the day. When you get the coach from abu dhabi airport all you need to show is your boarding pass. The coach will then drop you off at marina mall or szr. Have been using this service for the past 5 years and cant recommend it enough. Their number for the check in desk in dubai which deals with the coach timings is 043216471. As mentioned there is also an office in marina mall. They will be able to give you a timetable of coach timings for pickups there. You can also now park your car at marina mall free of charge for the duration of your trip. Hope this helps.

here is a tip ! Flight on etihad are often cheaper to Dubai than ABu Dhabi. In other words if you book the bus to Dubai when making the ticket its often 5% cheaper than if you book to and from abu dhabi and then book the coach separately. E.g. i booked to KL at 2010 dhs, which would be 2190 if i booked from abu dhabi

What if I'm not flying with Etihad? Passengers flying with other airlines may use the Etihad Express coach service for a fee of AED75 per passenger each way in conjunction with a flight departing from Abu Dhabi airport on the same day. taken from my link below.

I think its free if your flight is booked to Dubai...you may have to pay if you are booked to AD but want to come to Dub. edited by Homeward Bound on 29/08/2011 no i believe if you are travelling on etihad but live in dxb ie you have a ticket then its free, they will charge you only if you are travelling on a different airline ie BA.

there are buses to both Marina mall and Chelsea tower; the respective codes are XMB and XNB, you can use that for any agent who is stupid and doesnt understand On that nore, Etihad tel agents have become horrendous in quality. Emirates has maintained a standard of people who actually understand stuff. But Etihad is now staffed with some people (and they dont know arabic either) who speak in broken english and cant do anything apart from booking a flight using a step by step method

I would be interested in knowing if you can just board the bus too. My in laws are flying with Etihad in October but they only booked through to AD and not Dubai. Does anyone know if they can still use the bus? Or would they have to pay extra, which I will do, as driving to AD is a complete and utter pain in the backside. if you are flying into ad on etihad then you can use their bus to get back to dxb, i see it on the roads many times. if you are not travelling etihad but out of ad airport you can pay to use their bus too.

Sorry, can't answer your question, but if you leave near Marina Mall but there is an Etihad office in Marina Mall. Maybe you would have more success there in getting an answer to your query. We are flying with Etihad to the UK soon and, until a friend told me, I wasn't aware that they have a coach that goes from Marina Mall to the airport so that you don't need to go to Chelsea Tower.

You don't have to book it. You just show them your boarding card stub before your get on it. Otherwise your ticket. (I'm nearly 100% sure on this)
