Just a thought if you're on a tight budget - what about a Frog or a Gecko? They're essentially the same buggy, just older versions (the Frog was pre-Cameleon and the Gecko the one before that). There are a few differences but probably not so many you'd really notice much. I saw a Frog on Dubizzle last week for around 700dhs, I think. was in touch with your friend last week, but hadn't got a chance to meet with her, since i work 5 days a week :(. That to was a frog bassinet with the chaiss which was the chameleon. She has asked for 1200. Would love to get the bugaboo chameleon though. I saw one on Dubizzle yesterday for 1600-1800 ? Might be worth checking out :)

Any one out there selling one? If your still looking .... We have a chameleon - the Special edition Bugaboo 007 in denim , with additional red hood and basket etc We love it - but will consider parting with it cos we just welcomed baby No.2, with No.1 being just 21 months we now need to upgrade to a double stroller and planning on getting the bugaboo Donkey - if anyone selling one of those - we would be super keen ! Anyway Email me on sandboxtreasures at gmail dot com with your details and I can send you some pictures also let me know your budget -

I agree with Nutty. I know you didnt ask for advice, but I was totally spoilt by my inlaws who bought us the limited edition black bugaboo... which sadly I hate. I loved the basinet which we used instead of a moses basket in the house, and its great for going on strolls if you live in a place that you can do that in Dubai. However, they grow out of that stage very very quickly. We have a large 4x4 & it takes up the whole boot when you go shopping, and is a total pain to put away. You have to take everything out of the basket and it needs two hands to unfold, which I imagine will be a nightmare once my LO is mobile in a carpark. Also the maxi cosi adaptors pull off all the time when you are trying to put the capsule in the car. Finally the recline seems to be uncomfortable for them. My LO doesnt like that he cant sleep flat, and alot of my friends have commented on the same problem. Once again they are great in a country where you walk to the shops etc, so I suppose it depends on your lifestyle. We bought a Quinny Zapp which was cheap on sale at Babyshop & we use that to go anywhere, as its so so much easier & folds to be tiny. I love it. We'll get him a Maclaren for Christmas when he grows out of his capsule. I wish I could sell it to you, but my inlaws visit alot, so we have to pull it out and say we love it whenever they do, then stick it back under our bed. I will ask around if any of my friends want to sell theirs, as I know they mostly use their umbrella strollers. I would agree with Nutty though and get the Bee. Good luck :)

I had my DS in the bassinet of the Pliko for 7 months and I was able to fold it in the bassinet mode and even fit it in a small boot of my Peugeot for first couple of months Loved the pram Had to take the sunshade off when folding but I didn't have to unzip Only did it when I moved my DS facing forward Maybe you would like to check with a Mamas and Papas shop why your pram doesn't fold in the bassinet mode because you should be able to do it HTH Will check out with M & P on this, but DS is a little large baby at 4 months and feel a little congested on the bassinet mode. @ILOVECHOOS would love to but my budget is very limited. whats the last price? cold u please tell me the accessories that come with me > could drop a mail on shabeena31 at yahoo dot com. Anyone interested in my M & P pliko its in cityscape. comes with matching diaper bag. edited by Mom.an.me on 12/11/2011

Thanks for your thought. will check out the bugaboo bee. Am using the Mamas and papas pliko, good pram, lightweight all that , but for my infant bassinet mode, i have to zip it down . Ondoing all ready for the bassinet , baby is up cause it takes 10 min to do. Zip , buttons, move the sunshade etc, to fold it is another 5-10 min job cause the pram does not close in the bassinet mode, has to be sat upright!!!!!!, hence looking for an alt, tried the quinny but found it heavy, thought with the bugaboo, i could use the maxi cosi. and by the way the car seat of the pliko is very heavy!!!. By any chance are u selling your bugaboo??? I am selling my Chameleon. Its this one, a limited edition black and denim bugaboo. http://babyology.com.au/out-and-about/bugaboo-red-ripples.html I bought it from Just Kidding 20 months ago and I think I paid well over 6000Dhs. I would like to sell it for 3000. It comes with a few accessories and an additional yellow fleece cover. Send me a text if you want to check it out, I am in AR. edited by Ilovechoos on 12/11/2011

Its 5 years old although only been used for 1 child. The original chasis not the newer type with the air filled tyres not the foam filled. Good condition but not perfect. The older variety comes with the fleece covers unless bought from here as UK discontinued sometime ago but mothercare here still sold them up until last year.

Appreciate you are not asking for advice when choosing a pram but here is my 2 dirhams worth. Bought a bugaboo chameleon and was happy with it even though it was cumbersome to fold and put in the car. Got annoyed that it came in 2 parts after a while and now its sitting gathering dust as we use our bugaboo bee all the time now. Wish i had had it from the start as its a 1 fold and so much lighter. Also hated when you fold the Chameleon how everything falls out the basket and we bought the sand base which meant we were never done cleaning it on our UK trip. Just a thought.Oh and dont even bother with the parasol, waste of maoney although we did buy the UV mesh screen and was fine till about 6 months when DD started pulling it off.

I'm pretty sure there were a couple on Dubizzle the other day. And a friend of mine is having her second at the beginning of next year, so she may be thinking of selling hers - do you have a budget in mind? I'll text and ask her.
