I have been quoted for my pregancy by Daman and it seems the most reasonable and as I am already pregnant I don't have many options. I did read on here that someone had a bad experience with them??? Would anyone like to share their Maternity insurance stories with me please?
TIA

which cover do you have? the UAE or Regional? I had Regional. It was fabulous, no complaints at all. I had my twins at City Hospital (Dr Elsa) via c-section and they covered the lot. They also paid for the "repair" of my legs after as I had dreadful varicose veins. Tru Blu can you please give me your email or contact number need to ask you more about Daman insurance experience. Thanks a lot & God Bless! edited by shana2 on 18/02/2013

Would anyone like to share their Maternity insurance stories with me please? TIA I'd be careful. I had a friend who was pregnant and they quoted her a really high price to cover the cost of the pregnancy. I guess it makes sense. It seems too good to be true that you pay only a little and they pay for your whole pregnancy. Her plan was originally supposed to be around 7000, but they made it around 30,000 because they said the pregnancy was going to be very expensive for them.

There are quite a few differences between the UAE plan and the regional plan that I was on. I think I considered the UAE plan as it was a lot cheaper but it did not cover me fully in the event of complications with a twin pregnancy/birth

Oh golly - thanks starsouthern - i'll check it out! A1984 - They quoted 7000 for me, 4500 for hubby and 2100 x 2 kids..that is with the 50aed deductions not the 30aed. The guy said I had to go to the Dubai office in JLT for more details and that it was only an approximate quote until I submitted a medical report from a dr.

Double check if city hospital is still covered by DAMAN as I think there was an issue with prices going up and insurance companies no longer covering city.

out of curiosity....how much did Daman actually quote you? and was it the quote over the phone or the actual quote from the underwriter? i am being quoted 9000 over the phone but he said to me it will most definately be more once i submit the documents as the actual quote comes from the underwriting team.

Hi Tru Blu....I hope that doesn't mean you are an Everton fan lol Thanks for your comments (on both threads whoops sorry!)...my current insurance company will not insure me for maternity so I got quotes from Daman and ADNIC - ADNIC 4 times the price of Daman with lots of stipulations but then someone on here said a friend of theirs had a really bad experience with Daman! So Daman were ok for your pregnancy and delivery at City? That is what I am hoping for - although Dr Ibrahim has been recommended by a few people. Oh and it was the UAE Plan that Daman quoted me on. edited by johjoh on 14/01/2013
