I use maldon sea salt - on the whole i find it is always better to use natural produce rather than some chemical stuff. Perhaps if you need a low salt diet, just use less or something that is naturally salty such as anchovies or capers.

So which salt do you use?? I buy the red bottled NEZO iodized salt and have not had a problem with it. Is this the one you talking about ??

The first time I cooked with it. I throw out the rice. Thought it was the rice. The second time I added it to a salad and realised it was the salt ;) ewww :(

Totally agree Irooni, I've tried a number of low sodium salts and always found them to have a revolting aftertaste :(

I tried it for a healthier option. It tasted vile, not that it is not salty, it has an extra taste. Like a metallic taste. Is it just me?

Its the only type of salt I use. :) Just checked. The brand is not Nezo its called LOSalt. I have never tasted an aftertaste with it. edited by Appletiser on 09/05/2013
