Thanks a lot for all your lovely advice.
I am still confused. May have to talk to many other people before deciding.
I would either go for pills or IUD.
What did you end up doing????

If you were having a caesarian section - a sterilisation can be performed at the same time. There is no additional down time and there is a much less chance of complications/failure having it done then, than done later via key hole surgery.
Would have to discuss with your obstetrician quickly, as you have to get permission to have it done in the UAE - is apparently pretty straight forward though.
First option .... NO S*x.
2nd option... I have had the IUD for many years now and it is the best invention out. No hormone treatment or pills to stuff up my system. I got very depressed on the pill and put on huge amounts of weight. I dont have to remember to take anything, worry about condoms and kill the passion. Once in the IUD is 99% guarenteed (about the same as the pill) and you can forget about it. A winner in my books.
I'd go so far as to say that hundreds of thousands of women are on the pill with no problems at all.
Taken directly from the NHS website:
[b'>Contraceptives available without a prescription[/b'>
Male condoms: 98% effective if used correctly. Two women in 100 whose partners use a condom will get pregnant in a year.
Female condoms: 95% effective if used correctly. Five women in 100 who use a female condom will get pregnant in a year.
Diaphragms and caps with spermicide: latex caps are 92-96% effective if used correctly. Between four and eight women in 100 who use latex diaphragms and caps with spermicide will get pregnant in a year. Silicone caps are less effective.
[b'>Contraceptives available with a prescription[/b'>
Combined contraceptive pill: over 99% effective if taken correctly. Less than one woman in 100 will get pregnant in a year while taking the combined pill.
Progestogen-only pill: 99% effective if taken correctly. One woman in 100 will get pregnant in a year while taking the progestogen-only pill.
Contraceptive injections: over 99% effective. They last for eight or 12 weeks, depending on the type of injection. Less than one woman in 100 will get pregnant in a year when using contraceptive injections.
Contraceptive implants: over 99% effective. They work for three years but can be taken out earlier. Less than one woman in 100 will get pregnant over three years when using contraceptive implants.
Contraceptive patches: over 99% effective if used correctly. Less than one woman in 100 will get pregnant in a year when using contraceptive patches.
Intrauterine system (IUS): over 99% effective. An IUS normally works for five years but can be taken out earlier. Less than one woman in 100 will get pregnant over five years when using an IUS.
Intrauterine device (IUD): over 99% effective. An IUD can stay in place for five to 10 years, depending on the type but can be taken out at any time. Less than one woman in 100 will get pregnant in a year, depending on the type of IUD. Older types of IUD are less effective.
[b'>Sterilisation (permanent contraception)[/b'>
Female sterilisation: more than 99% effective. One in 200 women will become pregnant after being sterilised.
Male sterilisation or vasectomy: about one in 2,000 men can become fertile again after a vasectomy.
--------
There should be a differentiation between "safe" and "effective". All the above are medically "safe" (they will not harm your health), as long as they are taken/ carried out properly and with medical care. Whether or not they are "effective" is dependant mainly on the recipient (in the case of condoms or pills, you have to use them properly) or just luck (in the case of sterilisation)

Thousands of women use the contraceptive pill with no ill effects. I used the pill for many years too back in the 70s. The pill does not "cause" breast cancer as such and your family history, genetics etc have to be considered. The pill can prevent other cancers such as ovarian cancer. You should talk your options over with a sympathetic doctor to get the right advice for you as any medication will have side effects and ongoing monitoring is essential. The coil is not 100% either. Vasectomy is a good option and apart from initial pain and discomfort plus a "waiting time" is an easier option. You need to be sure that you want no more children of course and vasectomy isn't 100% either but better than relying on coils and condoms etc. There is of course, abstinence, which you can threaten DH with if he refuses to take any responsibility for your contraception as a couple ;)
I was on the pill for 15 years, going back then it was the combined one, not to sure now they are available, I do believe they discontinued them and replace with the mini pill, I could be wrong. I never had any issues whilst taking the pill either. I do know a couple of friends that became pregnant whilst taking the pill, but still think its the safest option.
The coils (IUDs) are not 100% safe. Many people get pregnant with those on.
What about pills?? Therez a lot controversies regarding pills. I am just scared.
total abstinence is 100% effective. Hysterectomies also are. Vasectomies pretty much are, but there are cases where it's failed.
Pills aren't "really dangerous", by the way... and don't cause breast cancer. They do, just like any other medicament, come with a set of warnings and potential side effects, but if you have certain conditions, your doctor will advise you not to take them (such as high blood pressure, etc...)
Short of that, there's the coil, which is inserted into your uterus... or the male pill/ injection, but getting a bloke to take it is another kettle of fish.
My husbands best friend just called us to tell us that after baby no 3 1 year ago wife had the coil inserted as they wanted no more kids. She's now 12 weeks pregnant with twins! I nearly died as I was on the pill and now expecting baby no 3 so hubby defo has to have it chopped or stay away from me!

I am due end of this month for my third child. I don't want anymore kids.
I would like to know what are the safest options we have for birth control.
My DH doesn't want cndms at all and I am scared of pills. Pills are really dangerous
and can cause breast cancer. I want to know what other EW ladies are using.
Thanks!!!
Ask to have your tubes tied or your DH has a vasectomy.

What is this male injection that you speak off??
Hmm... I thought it was already on offer.

Anyhow, the likelihood of blokes taking anything that would decrease their natural testosterone levels is next to zilch... or if not, that'd be one darned impressive marketing campaign!
