I am really wondering. We thought these towers are quite new and they should be fine. They have very light rooms, also nice bigger apartments... but today we have seen 4 different apartments in Tower 2 and 3 and all had problems with moisture and mould on ceiling.... is it a general problem or only because maybe apartments are empty for a longer period???

the first one we saw, the apartment was freshly painted and they have changed the ceiling tiles in kitchen but the others had the problems... so we wonder if the first had the same problems and they think bit fresh paint can cover the problem...

a friend lives in al seef 2 since it opened and they had no mould problem. they did have the smell problem in year 1 but as previous posters said it is long solved by now. i think that apartment is lovely. very spacious. one of the best buildings in JLT. they say al seef 2 has slightly better quality finishes than al seef 3 (crisis kicked in before 3 got finished...)

Hello thank you for the information. It was helpful. I think what we like there is the rooms have big windows and you don't have not to turn on the light when you are in the kitchen...here in Green Lakes the kitchen is very dark as it is in the back. The rooms are also bigger in Seef. We saw quite a lot of apartments in both Seef Towers the last 2 days and 2 of them were freshly painted and cleaned. We will make an offer and wait what happens....

Had friends living in al seef, there was a smell problem when they first moved in, it was discovered to be a plumbing leak in the walls in the guest bedroom area. They got the impression that this was happening in lots of the apartments, it was sorted and they didn't have any further issues. Mould and moisture is often found in apartments if they have been left empty and A/C has been switched off. The pool area is on the roof, quite nice but doesn't get much sun as the roof design casts long shadows around the pool area and you find you have to play chase the sun if you like to sunbathe.

Hi, I used to live in Al Seef Tower 3, and to be honest there were a few issues, but nothing major. When we first moved in the apartment, back in 2008 there was this awful smell problem in the master bathroom/bedroom, after several visits it was sorted out. As for mould we did have a problem with it but only in one kitchen unit. They hadn't tiled properly and the hot air from outside was getting in behind the cupboard and was causing mould. However, we did have water occasionaly leeking in the kitchen from the a/c, not massive amounts of water, but enough for you to have a bucket out! In the master bedroom, we did have the bottom wall start to bubble up and the paint was flaking, I did report this to the landlord on many occasions, but they kept saying it was down to condensation from the bathroom! My husband thought there was a small leak somewhere as it kept on spreading. We left the apartment this year, when I went back a month after moving out to hand over the keys, due to the A/C being off, more water leaks had occured, one in the kitchen and the other in the master bedroom, which was pretty bad. The swimming pool and gym area was okay, nothing grand, but enough for a dip in the pool and a few equipment machine for a work out. To be honest most of the times we went to use them, you were mainly on your own. If you want anymore information please ask, nippy35 at gmail dot com Nippy

I had the same impression when we viewed the appartments in Al Seef. We saw the appartments without a broker. The security is very flexible with giving keys or access cards to facilities. Maybe is worth to have a look again and to have a chat with the moms in the playroom or at the pool to investigate about it.

You could ask on the JLT community site, jltcommunity.blogspot.com edited by michamen on 03/09/2011

did anyone of you live there now or lived in the past?? I have an allergy so I am unsure if we should move there. On the other hand apartments are very light not so small and dark like others.. Any recommandations pro or against those towers??
