Hi ladies,

Can anyone tell me where I am able to get some decent maternity clothes in Dubai please. I was in Dubai Mall for 4 hours with no luck. It seems unlike the UK normal shops like new look and matalan and top shop don't do a range here. H n M have the smallest section which consists of horizontal striped long sleeve Tees and khaki pants. Otherwise the only other places I found were mother care/mammas and Pappas which again consisted of the stock similar to H n M. Seems the other options are boutique style maternity shops where a dress costs 500dhs. Any help to still remain stylish even though pregnant? Thank you

Try ASOS its an online shop and its free delivery. Max also have it and its cheaper than the others.. You can also try in any shops and find loose blouses or dresses that seems comfortable to wear.

I agree with the previous posters; don't spend too much on maternity clothes, you only need them for a few months. No catherine its not like you cannot wear your maternity clothes after pregnancy. Everything entirely depends upon the kind of maternity clothes your having. I would suggest to buy designers maternity gowns instead of the shirts and pants, I bought couple of gowns from [url=http://www.fertilemind.com.au/'>fertile mind pregnancy clothes[/url'> and the best part about them is that these gowns are barely different from the standard gowns. Hence there's no need to put them away after pregnancy, you can wear these even if you're not pregnant. But why would you want to wear them even after you are pregnant? The moment I can ditch the maternity clothes I do. Plenty of my maternity dresses still looked fine after birth but there is no way I'd keep wearing them, I'd rather not be reminded of being as big as a bus.....

Blush & Bloom - Blushandbloom.com here in Dubai is great, the owner Loretta is lovely, you can try on clothing at her home in Dubai or order from her online website. Best way to contact her is by email. [email protected] I recently purchased the most comfortable maternity bras from her, and they don’t look like frumpy maternity bras!! ASOS is also good for a cheaper option and its free delivery for orders over GBP100. Seraphine.com has really good quality clothing ships from the UK but their website doesn’t automatically refund the VAT on international orders so you will need to email them to request a refund after you have placed your order contact@seraphine

I've had a similar problem. I went to Marina Mall to a shop called Destination Maternity. I wasn't overly impressed. The clothes look and feel quite cheap but are expensive. I only bought a few essentials. I've also ordered from a place called Blush & Bloom, a Dubai based company. Next UAE on line have maternity clothes, Mumzworld is another and as others have said ASOS. Hope this helps :) edited by supersparki123 on 13/03/2014 edited by supersparki123 on 13/03/2014 Yes I looked at blush and bloom today. And they have exactly what I am looking for. Shorts! And affordable. It said that you can arrange to try on at their base, however no one is answering their phone. I went to destination maternity in dxb mall, like you I wasn't impressed. A dress in there was approx 500dhs!

I found mirdiff mall best. Can't remember the name of the shop...something like maternity junction. Not superb quality, but adequate and cheap enough. I also tailored some shirts for work, then they're to my own design and measurements.

I second ASOS (online store)... they have an awesome selection of stuff and pretty cheap! they offer free delivery to Dubai if you don't need urgently (usually reaches you within 20days)... otherwise you can pay for urgent shipping Just looking at their range now. In case i need to return, is it a straight forward process?

New Look do carry the maternity range here but it is only in a couple of their branches. I used to trek all the way to City Centre because previously that was the only branch that had maternity clothes, but I believe the branches that have maternity clothes have since changed. I suggest that you give the City Centre branch a call and find out which branch now carries maternity clothes. I found New Look the best - the clothes are very affordable, fashionable and they had a big range. Also Mothercare has maternity clothes, and I agree with Destination Maternity as well - like somebody said it is pricey there, but at the back they have a few ranges that are much more affordable. Unfortunately new look city centre no longer do the range. Have checked with new look stores all over Dubai and they don't either. What a shame. Thanks anyway

you dont really need to buy maternity clothes, many tops and dresses are wide and lose in the belly area, also for pants and skirts you can buy the ones with elastic. I actually hated maternity pants with the extra material on the belly, it was too itchy. MAX has cheap maternity clothes and sometimes you even find them in carrefour (from H&M and Next with removed tags) .

Try Max, I got a few nice cheap and cheerful pieces from there and also ASOS as they deliver here for free. I got some lovely quality stuff second hand as well so try Baby Bazaar and those kind of events.

Mamas & Papas in Mercato can sometimes have a good collection. Also Babyshop in MOE has just started to display some maternity clothes. Not sure what they are like but might be worth checking them out too. The choice in this country isn't too great and a lot of the stuff makes you look a bit frumpy. With my last pregnancy I bought larger sizes of the normal clothing which made me feel a lot more attractive.

I find in general when it comes to shopping MOE is better than Dubai Mall. Can't help you with maternity wear but maybe you will find something there. I also remember seeing a maternity wear shop in Marina Mall, don't know the name sorry but I think it's on the 2nd floor.
