Most pharmacies stock these pills... some behind counter and some you can just pick up. They are cheap.. think mine used to be no more than 20aed a box (Diane) No need for a prescription.:) <em>edited by roysie on 06/12/2012</em>

Thank you very much for your replies. You make me happy and calm down. Which pharmacies can I get them? Could I buy more than 1 box? How much do they cost? I have a Spanish prescription from my Dermatologist, shall I show them? I also take hair loss pills, would you recommend me one? Are biotin and dexpathenol vials or pills available? Very grateful for your help. With the Androcur all the pharmacies I have tried have had it in stock-you can buy as many boxes as you wish at once-if it isn't in stock they will get it in-I am not in Dubai to check at the minute but from memory the cost of a box of 20 x 50mg tablets was around 140 dhs.

Hi Dates, I'm not sure if you will get that type of pill or other medication here, however, your best bet would be to visit a few pharmacies and ask if they have the ones you need. From what I've seen, there are quite a lot of pill options. For me, I don't use an alternative as there isn't one, so I buy mine on-line from a UK website and they post them here via Royal Mail Registered, takes between 1 & 3 weeks to arrive, no problems. If you don't have any joy with pharmacies here, the website I use is pharmadoctor dot co dot uk. You do a free on-line consultation (ie, answer a questionnaire) and their resident doc approves it if you have no conflicting medical problems (ie, answer what they want to hear). They allow up to 6 months supply. :)

Thank you very much Kezzler. I have an hormonal problem and I take one contraceptive pill called Diane 35 every day and once my period comes one anti-androgen pill called Androcur for ten days, both for the same problem. Those names are used in Spain but maybe in Dubai the name is different. The most important thing is to ckeck if the laboratory (Bayer) and the ingredients (ciproterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol/ciproterone acetate) are the same in the same dosage. What do you take instead of it?

There are many types of contraceptive pills sold over the counter in Dubai, in most pharmacies, albeit there are some not available here like mine, ie, Logynon. You can buy as many as the store has in stock and they are relatively cheap. Can't help you with the anti-androgen as I haven't a clue what they are????? HTH
