Hi,
still new to dubai, so sorry for asking these boring and maybe stupid questions. We went few times to Jumeirah Beach park and have to say, we liked it a lot. I heard that you can also go to beach resorts or hotels with a day pass, so you can enjoy their private beach..Is it worth while? Which would you recommend (and that does not cost a fortune, hehehe..just read he 'how can I save' topic ;-)
are you then also aloud to use their pool etc..
Is there a one with nice restaurant for brunch?

Thanks ladies!

Riva beach club on the Shoreline, 100 each, very nice, and you can buy lunch and chill on the beach or by the pool. They sell alcohol too. edited by salsB on 24/03/2013 I saw it when I tried out Sophie's last week. How is the water there? As its on the palm, do people actually go inside of the water on the palm? I kept hearing it wasnt clean. I was there last year and had probs with Jelly Fish, last month, the water was clear enough but freezing. The pool is nice thou.

I am on the lookout for this, too - for one of the days my sister & family is here, but it would have to be extremely affordable and part of a hotel (not Mamzar and Jum B Park as we are going there anyway). Any ideas???

I've been going to JA for over 15 years... Lol we were members when it only cost 3.5k a year for single membership . If you have young children its great because of the large grass area. They have 4 pools now, they added a new one on the beach which is now mostly for children. They have a pool with swim up bar, a quiet pool which is just for adults?! And I'm sure there is still another pool on a slightly higher level. It's nice, the service has never been hot, I'm not sure Id rate the hotel as five star either but all that being said it can be lovely, lots of different areas and crazy golf, however you can be disturbed by the sea planes which take off from there. Give it a try I'm sure you will have a nice day. Oh but if its a holiday go early like 9ish as we headed down before and they had closed the day pass entry by 10am as it was a holiday and they where full.

Hi nathalie2, welcome to Dubai :). I love the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa in Jebel Ali. It's a little drive but totally worth it. Don't know their exact fees as they went up a bit, but should be around AED 550/person on a weekend. They are cheaper on weekdays. This includes access to the beach, to their various pools, the health club and buffet lunch (excl. drinks). Try it, you'll like it :)
