Can anyone recommend a really good physio for me please? DH hurt his back and went to see someone a few months ago who was pretty useless. He has been told that physio should be enough to sort him out but he may need to see someone half decent ;)

I have been using Shereen Hassam at Mirdif Physio and Rehab Centre, near Spinneys in Uptown, off and on for nearly two years. I have used others, but once I found her never went anywhere else. She is on holiday right now, but is due back in 2-3 weeks. She generally uses a combination of ultrasound, manipulation, massage, dry needling, TENS machine and heat to get my back functional again.

Mandy123, I would highly recommend Susana at the California Chiropractic and Sports Medicine Center in DHCC. She is Portuguese and worked with the Portuguese National Football team for 16 years, so has a wealth of experience treating this type of injury. She's both a qualified Physiotherapist and Sports Massage therapist, she treated DH and he said she was amazing. The last time he was there he was talking to a man who had flown in from London just to see her for treatment! Contact details 044298292.

Wendy is great at Bespoke at Emirates Golf Club. Tim at Dubai Physio and Family Medicine is also highly recommended.

I'm looking for some options in Dubai for physiotherapists. Can anyone told me if http://bespoke-wellness.com/physiotherapy/ is a good clinic? I'm looking for post surgery recovery specialists (Achilles tendon reconstruction to be precise).

I second Laura at Up and Running. I have been to quite a few in Dubai and most are just a complete con.

If it makes your DH feel any better, Chris Page has treated everyone from professional rugby players to silly housewives who break their legs [me!'>. He's so easygoing yet professional. I really enjoyed the sessions and he got me back to working order with next-to-no hassle. Hope your DH finds someone he can get him back to square one. :)
