Seriously, how do you manage it here? I went to Spinneys today - the huge one at Motor City - and they had NO Muller Lights, NO Mug Shots, NO Low-Fat Super Noodles, NO low-fat sausages and NO FRY-LIGHT! What am I going to do?

Apologies for the shouting. I am in full-on panic mode having lost 7kgs in six weeks and being so keen to keep it going!

I am going to join online myself. Although DH and myself are doing it together we want to make sure it is 'our' thing first so going to try it for a week or so by downloading the mags onto my iPad and use them :) If you want a look at the books you get when you join a group, so you can try it out, you're more than welcome to borrow mine :).

They sell Frys Vegetarian burgers in Spinneys (frozen) and the sausages, I think the burgers are 1/2 syn but good on a green day, and the sausages may even be free. I cook them in the air fryer, a bit dry, but pour some baked beans over them and a poached egg on top.....not too shabby....lol. I heard that Alpen light bars can be exchanged for HEb's, so they are available here. http://www.helensslimmingworldrecipes.com/# I don't know if this is useful to anyone, just found it online.

You can buy the Slimming World magazines out here, I've bought it a few times from Waitrose at Marina Mall, and I am sure they will stock it in other stores too. This thread has given me the motivation to get my SW books back out, but first I need to go shopping and stock up on some of the free foods :) Yorky you have made my day! I don't have any of my old SW books so I will need to the hit the net for the free foods and syn values of things but it has been so long since I had a muller light that I shan't search high and low for them. I have checked out Diet Momma FB page too and I have the motivation to get back on it again. Need to buy some scales though to see just how bad it has got!! I have the books but I will still need to register online as I find it difficult getting some of the items here that I would eat back home and I will need to calculate the syns. Thats probably the hardest part of doing the diet here, back home the books are excellent as the list every type of food and brand available. I will try and eat as much stuff that is syn free as possible. To be honest, I ate EE almost every day with fresh home cooked everyday food and avoided packaged things. I do miss the low syn bangers though! I need to have a good read through, register online as you are doing and get back into it again. I saved my syns for clear spirits and diet mixers. I will also be saving my syns for the important stuff :)

DC, Kimball and other Dubailand slimming world-ers. I live in Motor City and would love to be part of a slimming world-style group. I lost over 3st on the plan a while ago and yes, you guessed it, fell off the SW wagon and now need to climb back on it again! I have a SW quich in the oven as we speak for lunch this week - I just wish I could buy the magazines out here - great recipes and tips.

At risk of being booted out when I've just got back, I'm pretty sure a way to get hold of me can be found on here somewhere ;).

In in Layan (next to DubaiCat) and I'd love a once a week meet up. I did SW a few years ago and lost a good amount of weight. Since then I've moved out here as had a baby so I badly need to get back to the diet!

PS I'm really missing my group, too. Weird but I loved looking forward to weighing in and feeling so good about myself when the scales showed a loss! And it was such a huge help being among people on the same wavelength. I'm in AR and would be interested in meeting once a week, the support us girls used to give reach other is priceless, you just don't get that from online membership.

Wow, thanks! I guess I'll just need to hunt around for FryLight or Pam Spray and find alternatives for the rest. I found Total fat free yoghurt but for some reason the Muller Light with vanilla and chocolate sprinkles just has the edge over it ;). I'd love to be able to set up the whole Slimming World thing over here but at the moment I think it'd just be too much effort, to put it bluntly. I do have the online app to check Syns but sadly it's all UK brands, so I'm relying on the basics info instead. I already meet up with a great group of fellow slimmers once a week but I'd be happy to host anyone who wants to follow Slimming World at my house on a weekly basis, too. I'm only just starting out so I have nowhere near enough knowledge to really teach anyone how to do it properly but I do have the books and can access the recipes etc online! I live in Al Waha, behind the Ranches.
