Happy you got the mobey back but it took really long time for your case to get the money back because we got back the 16k that the LL owes us plus the fee (5%)we had paid for RERA, since LL lost the case he has also to pay us back the fee, so hope you got it backas well. We got the money back the same day after the decision of RERA court has been published on the news.

No problem. The way I see it, we all "own" this information. There were many contributors from this site and I thank them. I just collated it. ...So we all need to look after it.

LOL yes, thanks for asking Paris. We actually only got it back last week - 6 months after the event and 3 months after the Rent Committee awarded in our favour. DH actually had to sit in the RE Office and refuse to leave in the end. While he was there another guy was yelling "Where is my money, if you don't get it to me in 5 mins I am calling the police and they will arrest you!" Over 35,000 AED in water. We have had to forgo the interest unfortunately. So if this happens to any of you, it would be well worth it to factor interest on any money you have to pay out into the equation you take to the Rent Committee hearings. We have been looking around for another villa in the same vicinity, but it looks like 5 bedroom villas on a lake around the Meadows area are very scarce to begin with, let alone vacant ones...

The original data was deleted when another member (QF2011) tried to use it as ammunition to cyber-bully me, so please don't let that happen again.
