Due to some uncertainties and issues with my Visa , I am having a hard time staying positive at the moment. Don't ask me for details , because talking about them will bring a negative chain of thoughts that would make my situation more complicated. All I can say is that after eight years of living here and making it my home , I have two months left from my visa and I am doing everything in my power to renew it for another two years .I need to believe to it will be ok, and that I will stay here for another two years .
All I'm asking you amazing ladies is to share with me one positive experience of your day today. Share your positive thoughts with me and help me stay positive .

I'm half way through chemo for breast cancer, i have surgery and radiotherapy to come. I never made it back to Dubai after my summer holiday, I'm in rented accommodation with none of my personal belongings yet other than the suitcsse I brought for my vacation. BUT i value every day more than ever, it doesn't matter to me where I am in the world as long as i'm with DH and my 2 precious little ones - they make me smile, laugh and give me joy every day. We make opportunities wherever we are in life, change can be good even it doesn't feel like it in the short term. Stay positive :o) Hope you get well soon . Stay strong .

We have a proverb that says, a dark cold night always has a light morning. Khatoon's real name means dawns in persian. So I said the proverb, followed by,you are almost there, cause you are dawn.:) hope that makes sense! edited by Irooni on 12/10/2011 Irooni aziz , mesle hamishe behem omid midi. azat mamnoonam.

Anytime I am feeling down, I remember my friend Darcy. She was a beautiful 20 year old girl who was injured in a head on collision. They had to amputate her legs just above the knee to save her life. Before the accident we all thought Darcy was beautiful, but kind of spacy. I stepped into her hospital room prepared to try to cheer her up. There she was, strapped to a rotating bed, hooked up to IV's. I hesitantly stepped into her view. Darcy's face lit up and she said "Aleeeettaaaa! It's so good to see you! Well, they had to take my legs, and I'm paralyzed from here down. Tomorrow they are going to do surgery and put rods in my spine so I can sit up. But LOOK! I still have my arms! That means I can get myself in and out of a wheelchair and feed myself, and go to the bathroom by myself! Isn't that GREAT!" I was stunned. I spent every day of the next 30 days in the Spinal Care Injury Unit with Darcy. I only saw her get angry once, and it didn't last long. That was 17 years ago and she still inspires me. Recent photos show her on top of a grassy hill, her long blond hair in the breeze, and her smiling suntanned face. She is still in a wheelchair, but she is thankful every day for her blessings. She is a stonger person than me, and I aspire to be more like her. Thank you for sharing that with us Aleta :)

I always remember a simple thing my Mum once said to me when I was really down. Things will always look better in the morning. My Gran always said this too but first it was. Lets have a cuppa love, it will help clear your head. What wonderful memories this brings back. Nothing like a cuppa, to make thing better.:)

I big hug to you K. I've been there and know how it feels. Usually I find positiveness, as mentioned bellow, by lighting a candle or incense. And I stick to a sentence that tells me some truth for that moment, something I read somewhere or created myself. Also tiding up a wardrobe or the kitchen clears out my mind from the bad thoughts. The posts bellow are all so true, great to read them all!
