Just discovered a huge one in our garden shed. How can we remove it without anyone getting hurt?

TIA

As I recall, I knew that bee keepers catch bees by spraying water and having a smoke spray - something like that - so the bee think it's not safe to be out side and hide in the nearest branch or inside the hive.....then the keeper take them.....I read this some where...I guess I was only 9 years old.... maybe this info could help? keep digging on the internet... good luck They don't use water! They 'smoke' the bees as it calms them. DO NOT try and do this yourself. You need someone with the proper equipment and safety gear i.e. protective clothing to do it.

People keep bees?:\: er where do you think honey comes from? There are local honey manufacturers, hence beekeepers. I know there's one in Al Ain and Fujairah. Call the municipality and have them removed humanely, don't kill them. We all love honey :) edited by Chocs01 on 12/02/2012 Oh well off course! When I heard bee keeper, I just thought you meant it like just an average joe collecting bees!:\: I will have a look around to see where I can find one. Thanks LOL ok, sorry did give me a chuckle. The municipality should know. I hope you find a nice new home for them :-)

Try and find a local bee keeper, I'm sure they'd be happy to come and take it safely.
