anyone tried that? I am trying to do the dukan diet, but unfortunatley i am starting to feel constantly sick only thinking about an egg or yoghurt...that i dont eat! then obviously i dont feel well. Yesterday I wished to have a snickers, but i didnt. Still, I got this morning two small low carb bread with turkey. I have only two kilos to loose...I wonder if i still can lose, even if i eat this bread for breakfast and continue my sports and stuff, i seariouslty cannot SMELL any egg! or fraiche formage or anything like that! I am not thinking of filling myself up with sweets or so...m just wondering if i just started the jojo effect :(

the guy in the shop said that this sprouted bread is the low carb bread...or is he wrong? If yes what is sprouted bread? ( no native english) If you are supposed to be eating protein, then substituting with any kind of carbohydrate doesn't make sense. Maybe you are better off with another plan if you are not willing to go through the no carb or low carb phase. Have you thought about a whey protein shake instead of eggs or yogurt? Conversely, if you want to keep good carbs in your diet, then do so, and limit your fat intake instead. (still keep protein at least 1 gram per 1 kilo of LEAN body mass--not total body mass-per day). Organics Cafe used to sell "sprouted" bread every Wednesday. If you want to eat bread, that is the best kind you can eat as far as low glycemic impact. ngit, here is some info on sprouted bread and the difference. I have tried the bread from Organics, and it tasted very similar to this: http://www.foodforlife.com/our-products/sprouted-grain The bread in the link was a staple of my nutrition plan when I lived in the US, and I would eat it for breakfast in place of oats and noticed no glycemic effect I didn't want, or water retention. My conclusion was that unlike other breads, it really is different. (you just don't get the fiber like you do from oat bran). If the Dukan diet is recommending oat bran and you want to follow the plan, try hilsbils recommendations. The Dukan is not the only way, but if you want the results, you should to adhere to the plan. Swapping protein (eggs, yogurt) for bread doesn't make sense, even if it is sprouted, which is what I understood your question to be. Hope this helps! Also there is a lot of support for Dukan dieters in the health and fitness forum on the main forum page--just search dukan, or dukan recipes :)

Did you try this ladies recipes? http://mydukandiet.com/recipes/ She has recipes for oatbran cakes and lemon cheesecake even for the protein only days. I tried the tuna patties and they were delish. But it is hard I know! I mix some whey protein shake together with some fat free / sugar free chocolate powder for a relief Ok . I just came back to edit as I found this recipe for pancake sandwiches which is high protein. http://mydukandiet.com/recipes/oat-bran-pancake-sandwich.html I think these sort of extreme diets really need lots of preparation and organisation in advance for me to follow them. Good luck! and zero carb muffins ! http://mydukandiet.com/recipes/tea-biscuits.html edited by hilsbils on 12/06/2012 edited by hilsbils on 12/06/2012 <em>edited by hilsbils on 12/06/2012</em>
